I have been a fan of the souls series for years and this game more than exceeded my expectations, with my expectations already being through the roof. I haven't felt this motivated to play a game in years and all I can do when I am not playing it, is think about playing it. One thing to make clear is that this game is not for everyone. This game offers a serious challenge that most people new to games would have a lot of trouble getting through. This game is probably the hardest game from FromSoftware that I have played in my opinion. The world is huge, beautiful, and full of life. I do not run in to the issue many open world games have now where there is a huge world, but it is empty. The only minor downside is that some bosses are recycled, but they do at least try to give them new moves sometimes to spice it up a bit. This game may have surpassed Dark Souls 1 as my favorite game of all time, but I will need to spend more time on the game to find out for sure.
