i don't think any other game has the same level of comedic timing as Lethal Company.

Action rouge-like that doesn't hold your hand and immerses you almost instantly into the action. Dying is a pain but integral to progression and there's no real penalty to it.

If you like to play a game that throws you into the deep-end, with the odds stacked against you. Get this game. Because when you master your weapon of choice and pick your Blessings, you become Nigh unstoppable.

Had High Hopes, Downward Slopes

Allow me to preface this by saying that I understand that it's Early Access, so what I am about to say is subject to invalidation from potential future changes made to the game

I really enjoy this game, it has satisfying movements and fluid, smooth animations with great stylistic choices and you can tell the developers have put a lot of effort into this game, dislike it or not, there was effort applied to this game. But I personally feel like the developers have started a chain of events that will ultimately kill off this game.

I started playing this game on Monday the 13th of April, 2020 at 11pm. And to start off I was rather confused, as I was thrown into the game with a vague tutorial and that was it. Once I defeated the prerequisite NPC, I was sent to the Hub and told to repeatedly fight the same fight over and over until my Karma leveled up. Which I was a bit disheartened, as it reminded me of the early days of Warframe, when it was just repetition of the same missions. (I love Warframe and it has come along way. <3)

After getting to level 2 on both my new favourite Karmas, I noticed an NPC that I couldn't interact with, as many tutorials I looked at entailed her being integral to progression. Confused, I looked up more information and realised there used to be a singleplayer campaign that I had no idea existed; And had been removed for reasons unknown by myself. I was heavily confused and saddened as the animation of the opening scene looked amazing, and was bewildered as to why the Developers at K.O.G have removed the Singleplayer Campaign and NPC interactions. Doing some further research I discovered that 80% of the content is behind ludicrous paywalls, and if you didn't have money to spare, you are going to be stuck with basic items on a constant, draining grind.

Does this game have Potential?: Yes, I do. The entire game SCREAMS potential, but also screams a lack of commitance from the Developer's side.

Do I recommend the game?: Unfortunately not. I would have loved to recommend this game as it is so Aesthetically Pleasing, but if you are looking for a rich, Story-line based Anime fighting RPG game you came to the wrong side of the Play-Store.

I understand this game is in early access, but the fact that the game is REGRESSING rather than PROGRESSING is going to kill this potentially amazing game. I really hope the Developers at K.O.G sorts all this out and comes up with a redeeming, big update. But as it stands, I do not recommend this game.

EDIT: NEW INFORMATION

After enquiring about the lack of storyline in a recent patch-note post, I have been informed that THE STORY IS COMING BACK , I'm unsure as to when this is, but it is certainly returning in a future update. Still, I do not recommend this game if you are looking for something story-rich, but my stance on the recommendation is slowly lifting from a NO to an UNDECIDED.. If you see the same level of potential in this game as I do. hold out hope for the next major update.

Very good game about detailed co-operation and complex puzzles, all tied up in a deeper story.

I'm guilty of deleting my old character to start new, this game is so amazing, even for 4 years it never ceases to facinate me.

For a 4 year old game, it is stunning! Sometimes I just walk around, taking in the view of the sunset or watching the snow collect on my character. This game is stunning.

The combat is entirely unique, being able to run between cover and use the natural destruction of the city as a means to protect yourself is amazing!!

If I could improve or add anything, it would be a more flashed out stealth mechanic, with a sneak/prone where you can bypass enemies without being detected (I know that is a thing in cover, but I mean in a more Splinter Cell kinda thing).

Fluid movement and fast-paced mobility is what I like best in games. This game cranks those things up to 11!

I absolutely love the game. Would reccomend, but It could be improved with buyable clothing though. that would be awesome!
