The factory is never finished

Despite being Steam Deck verified and having received an updating claiming to add full controller support, the game doesn't register any input on Steam Deck without jumping through lots of hoops and its less than optimal to play on.

Current state of the game is a downgrade from Slime Rancher 1 in every way.

Getting temporary banned because the game crashes so often isn't fun.

Game is fun but could use some more randomization of ships and more distinct hull types.

19 years later, why can't I stop playing???

Bethesda pulled a bait and switch 2 months after the game's release. They now require you install a rootkit in order to play single player, and they broke linux compatibility completely. This garbage should be illegal.

Update:

"Eternal is a $60 game, not a free to play game or mobile game – we are giving you a complete experience with no store just like you’d expect. Unlocking skins with XP is a part of the experience if you care about that stuff or you can completely ignore it and it will have no impact on your experience AT ALL and it’s all free."
