Admittedly, I don''t enjoy rogelike games. I want to say that right up front. This one, I really enjoyed for about 7 play throughs and now I think im done. I think i hate rogelikes because the mechines are always so good. Dead cells, Hades, this and countless more have great gameplay that i love but then is wrapped in a dogs**t endless gameplay that never feels like you are actually progressing. With mindless boring procedurally generated levels. I dont know, I just end up hating them because I want to like them and enjoy the combat but everything else is just frustrating. Every play through is exactly the same for me. I have a decent amount of fun and then boom very hard hits and its just a slog to kill anything and sucks. Getting new classes is kinda fun but i never know how to unlock them and when you finally do and they suck its frustrating. I tried a few games of multiplayer but then you have 10 or so other people and a million enemys and I couldnt tell heads from tails and you just randomly get upgrades but no idea what any of them do and you never really feel effected by any of it. All this to say, if you like rogelikes, this game is probably for you. If you are like me and don't typically enjoy them I would stay away. This game would be killer with some well designed levels and enjoyable dungeons and boss fights. Literally drop the garbage rogues**t game type and make it a looter shooter and this sh*t is gold.

One of the worst borderland games hands down. First off, the guns just plain suck and are boring to play with. I haven't found a single gun that I really enjoy yet and they throw so much garbage lot at you that it just becomes annoying looking through it all to try and see if its a slight upgrade... its almost always worse than what you have. Glad I got it on a deep discount. I find myself playing for 5-10 minutes and then just alt f4ing because im bored or tired of 1000 things exploding in my face while my guns tickle them. Spells are ok I guess but never really compensate for how bad the guns are.

I hope was hoping the easy setting would keep this game from being an insufferable rougelite bore... it didnt. if you enjoy rougelite then im sure you will like this one but if you dont then pass. Also, calling any of these metroidvanias is an injustice.

Solid gameplay but the restart mechanic over and over is just to annoying to me. I really dont enjoy having to go get all the things i worked for already. Anytime i beat a boss i end up putting the game down for days because i dont feel like redoing it all over again. Also, the game could use just a little bit more explanation fo whats going on and waht I should be doing. I also never know what plants i should be planting where. So, overall, its not a bad game... jsut wasnt for me

10 out of 10. Great mechanics, fun design, nice graphics. Can be difficult at times but still forgiving.

Kind of a fun game but the poor mechanics hold it back. It ends up being a fun in very small bursts that typically end with me wondering why i keep beating my head against a wall trying to progress. Its not hard because its difficult, its hard because the controls aren't great and the fights aren't conducive to the controls. Definitely get it on sale.

This game is insanely hard which is fine if leveling up seemed to do anything at all. im level 114 and c ant even come close to doing enough damage to a level 80 heroic. I'm not great at the game which is fine but the hard boss fights are more cheap than they are hard. drains the fun out of it. I'm stuck on a few bosses now and I dont think ill ever be able to beat the game. Also, dont pick the wizard, there is already a million different things to do in a fight, the last thing you want to have to do is manage summoning orbs for 10 minutes before you can do any damage. Otherwise, its a great game... if you enjoy beating your face agains a wall.

Game play is extremely solid and fun. When I was younger I loved very hard games but as a 40 year old with 2 kids and a business to run, I don't have time to dedicate to games like I used to and when I do want to play I typically want something less frustrating than this game. I like that their a simple mode but for brain dead reason they don't let you actually progress the game if you don't beat the bosses on regular. Its really sad, I love this game its just to difficult for where I'm at in life and I have to give it a bad rating for other gamers like myself. Sorry devs, let me progress on the simple mode and I would give it a thumbs up.

The mechanics are solid, most of the maps are fun. I really wish the grenade did a little bit of damage. The more I play it though, the less I like the portal aspect of the game. I don't enjoy using it much at all and I feel like there are way too many places to put the portal. sometimes you can get shot from literally anywhere. It creates an entirely new form of camping that is super cheesy and annoying. Just my personal opinions and the game is definitely worth a download and a few hours.
