As if Peter Watts' The Rifters and Blindsight/Echopraxia had a beautiful game-baby made of twisted flesh, silicon and black deep-sea ichor. Not a horror game at all - controls are unwieldy and monsters are barely scary, but it does not matter - story, setting and visuals are absolutely stunning. All the "classic" themes from sci-fi (artificial intelligence, digital immortality, post-apocalyptic survival of mankind) and heavy philosophical ponderings on the nature of consciousness are crushed and fused together on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean under pressure of 400 atmospheres to form this shining jewel of a narrative game.
