One of the most captivating city-builder I've ever played.

WE WON!

I've only played 3 hours by now and it's neat. This is how Skyrim supposed to look like

This, is a game from where I started discovering and learning about the world of Warhammer 40k.

I bought this game a few month ago and I'm fascinated by it. The Dawn Of War is a typical RTS game that is pretty similar to another RTS game - Red Alert. You are playing as a commander of Space Marines battalion, and conquering a planet called Tartarus from every kind of heresy, such as: Eldars. Orks, and at the end - Chaos.

Dawn of War has its own main campaign, and to complete most kind of mission you need to do 3 main things (depends what is the goal of the mission): by capturing and holding a every zones/relics, destroying the main stronghold of the enemy or killing a commander. Every mission in this game is very unique. Sometimes u don't have to complete these 3 tasks, because You need to defend your stronghold for example.And here appears new branch - BUILDINGS.

Some buildings are required to recruit some new units, some of them producing more conquering points or power, or some of them are for defence purposes. The best about that - you can build everything even on captured strategic points, so u don't need to wait a year for them to arrive. And for me this a big plus.

Now let's talk about the units such as: marines, heavy marines, commanders, armored vehicle, tanks and artillery.
Infantry have only rifles right after their deployment. But by creating additional building you can give them a heavy weapon like plasma guns, heavy machine guns, fire throwers and grenade launchers (if u gonna use them more balanced and not just spam any kind of heavy weapon in one squad, you have much more chances to win, so think carefully).
Heavy Marines are used common for the charges on some strategic point, or for melee attack.

But common thing for Marines and any kind of unit in the game is MORALE. Or put it in other words, willing to fight.
It's a very important thing, that only two units can change things in the battle- commisars and commanders. They're boosting morale when they have been attached to some squad, and sometimes even can improve it. By creating more high-ranked additional buildings, they can use artilery strikes and etc. Which is very useful.

Oh right, and about vehicle.. Well, they can do pretty big "ka-boom!".. That's all I can say...

The game left to me only good expressions. Decent plot and characters. I like how RE used the scenes which were made in GAME, and it looks awesome. Sound effects, unit design and etc. are good for such period of time when it was created. The only one thing that I could name as a huge minus - a very short campaign, and dead multiplayer, not as in DLC's like Dark Crusade. But anyway, yeah, another game that I will give 10/10.

Still banger after 5 years in the same way as RS: Red Orchestra, truly a legendary FPS shooter. Most epic ♥♥♥♥ I've seen is landing on the rice fields with some dude playing "Fortunate Son" on his soundpad

Basically the only one thing is great in this game - RDM
