Stoneshard is like an abusive parent, it beats the hell out of you without any reason or any glimpse of happiness. I respect its ruthlessness, the game is not for those who are looking for a walk in the park, or either those who enjoy to walk in hell. The game provides little to no reward for playing, its essentially dice roll combat. Sometimes, you might hit all your hits - great. However, sometimes you miss constantly whilst the enemy inflicts bleeding and breaks all of your bones, they also get a critical as a bonus. You made some money finishing a quest? Great! Wanna spend that money on some gear? Too bad! You now need to buy a small feast and enough herbs to put Colorado to shame. Wanna make some money by selling items? Too bad, the enemies loot is terrible, broken and sells for nothing. Great. Well if they're too strong I can grind and level up... right? Again... Too bad. Levelling up is pain, the enemies are strong and don't award much Exp. So why play this game... I have no idea, I'm still trying to find a reason.
