If you look at how many hours people have played this game on average than you will understand the value you get from purchasing the game. That being said The violence and chaos that come from the PVP, raiding and Nazi children you can expect to experience is enough to make anyone blow a fuse :) But most things that you come to dislike about the game can be fixed by choosing a server suited to you as there are thousands to choose between.

The game itself has a high learning curve. Therefore It will be of immense value to play the game together with a friend. Playing rust with a friend will not make you immortal but quite simply makes it more enjoyable in general. Playing with a clan can be a challenge in itself. So if you choose to play the game solo I can recommend starting on a server with ca. 20 online players.
