Untill they fix the problem with asian players playing on NA servers i will leave a negative review and advise you not to buy it.

TLDR of the situation is that every time you choose duo or group (4), you have a 90% chance to get grouped with asian players on NA servers. No communication makes for a unpleasant experience in such a strategic game

Ill start with the cons:

- Less intuitive then other controllers
When you first start using it, it might feel weird and unnatural.

- Customization can feel overwhelming
This con can be negated if you use the standard settings for the controler which are good most of the time. You can also use user made profiles.

- It will take time to use this controller effectively
This controller has a steep learning curve and it will take you time to master it. That said, this doesnt mean that you cant be effective with this controler sooner. Consider this con if you plan playing local co-op, it wont take long for your friends to be effective, however it will take longer for them to master it. I would put 20-40 minutes for effectively playing simple platformers/top down shooters and about 20 hours of gameplay to use all controls intuitively.

Now with the pros:

- Higher skill cap (more room for skill to reward control)
When you master this controller, you will be able to play most games better then with other controllers (Playstation/XBOX types). If standard controllers give you 5/10 control and mouse+keyboard 10/10, then the Steam Controller wil give you 7/10 control.

- Well built, comfortable
It will suit most hand sizes. My hands are rather on the large side and this controler feels good. I can reach buttons with fingers that were not intended to reach them, so this cotroller is small for me without being uncomfortable. This leads me to believe that it will be comfortable for small hands as well.

- Indepth customization
You can customize pretty much any button as well as the touchpad. If you dont like customizing then you can choose either the standard profile for the game, or you can find a profile made by other users for the game. This can all be done in Big Picture Mode with the controller itself.

- Computer remote on steroids
This controller can be used outside of steam and will be effective in browsing the web, texting, and most of the tasks performed by your mouse/keyboard. My writing speed with the controller as of now is about 60-70% of my keyboard speed, however this will vary with users.


Overall i am happy with this controller and will be buying another one.
