That's what TNG/DS9/VOY would feel like put in a video game form. Even though the "game" part of Resurgence is a bit...disappointing, to put it gently, let's face it; nobody is buying this for the gameplay. The story and the characters are likeable, the plot is engaging and very much a spiritual successor to the Treks of old. It's actually kind of surprising we can get something this good in the nonsensical era post-franchise reboot.

While the graphics and the gameplay could definitely be improved, it's a must-play for Star Trek fans, offering a faithful and engaging narrative experience. It's nice that we finally get a decent Trek game and here's hoping for more to come!

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is everything I wanted in a sequel and more. The story picks up seamlessly from Fallen Order, throwing Cal Kestis right back into the heart of the action. It's been a wild five years for him, and even though we don't get to see what happened in the time between Fallen Order and Survivor in its entirety, it's clear that this Cal isn't quite the same Cal we met in the first game. The character has grown, he's become more jaded and more rugged in his fight with the Empire. And the best thing is - he continues to grow over the course of Survivor.

The combat is still enjoyable, and with the introduction of new lightsaber styles and abilities, it fees like coming home, except all of your facilities got an upgrade. Respawn tightened up the controls, making Cal feel more agile and the clashes more impactful. I didn't think it could get more "Jedi Knight power fantasy", but it did, and it's heaps of fun!

The story is just as engaging as the combat. The stakes feel even higher for Cal and his crew, and the new & old characters we meet along the way are fantastic. I felt invested in the story of even the most miscellaneous NPCs, and Greez's cantina quickly became one of my favorite locations in games.

A lot of the negative reviews emphasize technical issues pertaining to optimization and performance. I didn't experience any of them, and at this point in time the game seems to be just fine - I would encourage people to look into workarounds to problems caused by their systems or settings first before blaming Respawn for not fine-tuning their AAA game to their 10-years old PC (speaking of which, mine is approching that mark and it handled the game just fine).

Even though I'm not as keen on Star Wars as I used to be, mostly due to how poor the content churned out by Disney often is, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a must-play for any fan of the franchise or action-adventure games in general and it really made me miss the galaxy far, far away. If you're looking for a thrilling story, fantastic characters, and some of the most satisfying lightsaber combat ever put in a game, look no further.

I wish I could post a neutral review, but unfortunately Steam has no such option, and after playing the last few expansions, my impressions of the game are sadly mostly negative. I played SW:TOR on and off since it went F2P, I spent most of my time as a Preferred Player and I played pretty much exclusively for the story. Therefore, this review is from the perspective of someone who didn't do a whole lot of endgame content, but played this because it's Star Wars. As far as I know, and from what I experienced of it, I don't think there's anything outstanding in the PvE/PvP aspects, and the story department was where this game USED to shine.

SW:TOR is often defined as a "theme park MMO" and this formula works for some, but not for others. The main reason I even bothered with the game, its initially fantastic story (I primarily mean the vanilla game plus the first two expansions) has become abysmal in quality with time. I was initially very much looking forward to scratching that Star Wars itch only to feel...disappointed. KOTFE and KOTET are not only badly written, they don't feel like Star Wars at all. Onslaught was okay, but far too short to make up for the change in the direction in the story before. A lot of the damage to the overall plot has already been done and I don't think it's gonna be easy to clean up the mess. My suggestion? By all means, play this. The vanilla storylines are fantastic and absolutely worth it. Do yourself a favor and don't bother with the game when it gets to Knights of the Fallen Empire though, it's not really worth your money or your time. I don't think the endgame is interesting or outstanding enough to be a major appeal, because this MMO is rather dated in the PvE and PvP aspects and doesn't offer much variation.

So yes: I recommend giving it a shot, but I definitely don't recommend staying. I know I feel a bit disappointed, hence I'm leaning more towards a negative review than a positive one.

Wow. What an amazing journey. First off, let me say that I have never come near any "Soulslike" experience up until JFO, and the whole "Dark Souls with lightsabers" theme was what put me off this game for a very long time. I realized that was a mistake, considering the fact that it's not a particularly difficult game (I decided to play it on Jedi Knight and I was just fine even with my lack of familiarity with the genre). So the first point that I want to make: it's okay to not have played a Soulslike game before, your experience won't be any worse for it, just adjust your difficulty if needed and it's all gonna be peachy .

I have encountered no gamebreaking bugs at any point. Sure, there were some FPS drops and sometimes funky things happened, but neither of these things "ruined" the experience for me, or created issues in progressing.

This game has a fantastic atmosphere. I wish it went down a grittier route (in the vein of Rogue One, perhaps), but it's a very good Star Wars story in its own. The plot is gripping, the cast interesting, the music as Star Warsy as it gets. All in all, playing it it's a must for every Star Wars fan , because it may well be one of the best game set in this franchise since KOTOR days.

I don't really have anything to say about the game that I'd consider to be absolute cons, but I wish it was a bit longer. I clocked in 30h and did everything, got all the data entries, plants, etc. I also really wish there were more planets to explore, and some more variety to them - I'd love to see something like Coruscant, Corellia or Nar Shaddaa in FO's engine.

TLDR: It's great. Get it discounted, get it fullprice - it will be worth it either way, and you won't regret it. I regret that I waited so long with buying it. I'm looking forward to the sequel, but I also intend to come back to FO soon and check out NG+ :)

Final Fantasy Type-0 does not seem to be brought up frequently during fan discussions, and I honestly feel that's a huge shame. This is a tremendously enjoyable game with a mature, gritty, engaging plot and very human and relatable characters. The music is honestly amazing - I'd go as far as to say Type-0 has the best soundtrack in the entire franchise, and it wasn't even done by Nobuo Uematsu. It hits just the right spots to make you feel a variety of emotions with just the right intensity, dependant on scenes in the actual game and tracks serving as their background.

Keep in mind that this is a port of a game originally released on the PSP: the camera is a bit funky, and the controls do take some time to get used to, but by the time Type-0 pulls you into the world, you forget about these flaws, and others - such as varied quality of the graphics (for example: the main cast all look great, but many NPCs are a bit...square-faced). The formula is also more akin to a portable game: your squad of choice is sent on a variety of missions, inbetween which you get the option to get to know your comrades-in-arms and other NPCs better or travel around the world. The latter is arguably not the game's strongest point, but it doesn't really have to be. The strength of Type-0 is in the cast and the story, both of which immersed me so deeply that I really stopped paying attention to things that I felt could've been added or done differently.

I don't even know how to review this game properly to be fair. Just give it a shot and aproach it with an open-mind, and spread the word around. This game honestly deserves more spotlight, and I'm more than happy to call it one of my favorite entries in the Final Fantasy series.

This game could probably be best described by the words "wasted potential". It's extremely depressing, because the setting was charming, the characters human, the storytelling was promising, the scenery was stunning and yet...it could've been executed so much better. That being said, this is most definitely my favorite Final Fantasy game, and an adequate if we're to judge it in the terms of a "Final Fantasy for Fans and Newcomers", as that's what it is advertised as. I strongly recommend it, because after the inclusion of Episode Gladio, Prompto and Ignis and fixes here and there, this is a completely different game from its original, poorly received release.

The recent negative steam review bombing is due to the fact that 3 out of 4 further DLCs that we were promised not long ago were cancelled, and the director of the game stepped down. I feel like instead of negative reviews, XV fans should come together and write -positive- reviews, to show that this game does not only get (imo mostly undeserved) slack. I haven't even gotten to write a review about XV because I felt like nothing will really capture my deep feelings for the game - so here I am, writing this to make a pretty humble stand. There ARE people who loved it. No, it's not the worst FF ever, and no, it's not an awful game. And you should give it a shot, no matter what anyone says, and make up your own mind about it.
