Make tea, and forage for boletes and chanterelles in a world of giant Oxalis leaves? I'm in. The watercolor art is outstanding. The puzzles are not too hard for a child, or an exhausted adult. I would happily pay for a full-length version of this game.

A happy surprise in last month's botany Humblebundle! I didn't get the bundle for this game, but I've already put more hours into this one than the one I wanted. Equilinox reminds me of SimEarth, but you start with grasses, not microbes. Build a grassland, and work your way up to forests, woodlands, jungles, swamps, and snowy mountains. Less technical than SimEarth. If you like the idea of building biomes and populating a world with herbs, animals, insects. and trees, I recommend Equilinox. Very relaxing, no-pressure game, perfect for relaxing at the end of a long day.

Gay people deserve better than this game. It feels like this was written to teach teenagers lessons about how parents are people, too. Never thought I would feel too old to play a game about gay life and full of 90s references, but here we are. The game consists of pounding the space bar while the characters make the same "uh" and "oh!" noises over and over. The storylines are, and I'm being generous here, kind of didactic. I can't recommend this game unless you want a "wholesome and pure" game for a teenager. Definitely not the dirty gay fun I was expecting.

Mindless time wasting mobile game. Best played for five minutes at a time. Definitely worth it for the price of $0.00.

A short hidden object game with mini-puzzles scattered throughout. The real star is the artwork. Biology nerds will love the detail. From moss spore heads, to dessicated bits of grasshopper legs hidden in clusters of poppies - this game has really well-crafted depictions of the natural world. Beautiful insects, fungi, and plants. Downsides? Gameplay is slow. Like, very slow. Depending on who you are, you may find this either meditative or infuriating. Navigation is slow and clunky. At times, the slow pace sets the mood, but at other times, it feels frustrating. It's also a very short game - about two hours long. Overall, it's relaxing, beautiful, and well worth the sale price (I picked it up for $0.84). I recommend this to anyone who likes casual point-and-click games at the intersection of biology and psychedelia, like Amanita Design games (Botanicula, Samorost).

Do you like those logic puzzles like, "Can you make four triangles with six toothpicks?" If you like logical deduction brainteasers and minimalist design, you might love Tricone Lab. It's very simple to learn, but difficult to master. Customizable, very unique, and challenging. Personally, I'm terrible at logic and math, and still managed to complete twenty of the puzzles before getting stumped. I appreciate a game that is difficult.

I also appreciate how considerate the developer was towards people with disabilities in creating the game. The high contrast is visually accessible, and there is even a colorblind mode.

Negatives? The game is a bit buggy, and is not cheap. If you're as bad at logical puzzles as I am, you may not even make it halfway through the game. Overall, though, I recommend this to anyone who loves logic puzzles and wants to support a talented independent developer.

I received this game for free.

Similar to two of my favorite games, Botanicula and Samorost, but with easier puzzles. Wish it was longer than 15 minutes - it's really well done!

Gorgeous. I wish this was a whole game and not just five minutes long. The environment (and even the music) are lush and captivating.
