Best WW1 game. People say it's dead cause it doesn't pull the numbers it used to but there's still a small relatively active playerbase that will consistently fill a few servers up. Still just as fun as it used to be, people just unfairly label everything that doesn't pull high numbers as "dead" when that's far from the truth for a game like Verdun.

The guns feel super satisfying to use, different classes and squad types keep the game feeling fresh, and the maps are fairly well built. The mechanics around capturing and defending objectives are excellent and of course that one shot one kill makes every action feel intentional and every kill feel earned. Great game, but even though with the current playerbase the game is just as playable and just as enjoyable ever, I still wish more people played because this is mechanically one of the best feeling shooters I've played.

Every time I bought this game (once on switch, once on steam) I get addicted for a while. This literally happened to every single friend of mine as well. Recommended if you have a lot of time to burn, not recommended if you dont want to lose countless hours to a really fun experience. Once crossplay gets added im sure Ill come back for another bout with my stardew addiction.

I keep seeing people say that this game is only for people who are LOTR fans or love hack n slash games, but I fall into neither of these categories and loved the game. Definently not a 1000 hour game, but the 20-30 hours of the game (more if you do all the side stuff) were a lot of fun. Honestly one of the most fun games I've played in a long time. The combat system is a bit repetitive but it feels really great, and that combined with the nemisis system creates a really tight and enjoyable experience. No game makes you feel nearly as awesome as this game does through fighting captains and warchiefs, killing hordes of enemies, and amassing your own army. My main gripes with this game are that the combat system is a bit repetitive, and none of the boss fights or bits of the game are particularly challenging. The last comes in the short spoilers section ahead.

• The Tower bossfight was one of the most interesting points in the game, most of the game is just the normal combat system, but this stealth boss fight is really refreshing and a really interesting way to incorporate the other half of the mechanics in the game into a boss fight
  
• The final sauron boss fight is really ♥♥♥♥, it's just a few quicktime events, but the final fight leading up to it is a lot of fun.

I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate this game.

This is by far the best 48 minutes I have ever played. So much fun with friends.

I used to have an R key on my keyboard. Than I played hotline miami. I wasted way too much time on this game. Why can't R to restart work on real life. But in all seriousness now I actually just play this game on my laptop in math class. I trade off playing levels with some friends.

Good game when you get into it. Hard to get into though. TONS OF FUN.
