Counter-Strike: Source reprises the player back into the Counter-Strike universe by utilizing the Source Engine, the successor to GoldSrc on which the original award-winning Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Condition Zero ran on. Many aspects and mechanics have stayed in CS: S, which involve more teamwork and strategy coupled with timing and steadying your shots to truly play the game. You play as Terrorists, who either hold hostages, plant bombs in bombsites, and/or eliminate the opposing team, Counter-Terrorists. As a Counter-Terrorist, your job is to either save the hostages, defuse planted bombs, and/or eliminate the Terrorists.

There are also many mods out there from various sites like Game Banana to expand your CS: S experience. Whether from model re-skins to custom community-made maps, the experience never ends thanks to the Source Engine.

If you own a legit copy of Garry's Mod, CS: S is a must for the majority of assets available in GMod require CS: S, although there is low-res fallback assets in case you don't have CS:S. Either way, CS: S is a must for a FPS player looking for teamwork and strategy within a quick playfield.

If you're a person craving for creativity, then this is for you!

Basically this game is a haven for anyone who use the tools offered ranging from building, model porting, to even programming your own weapons or gamemodes you wish to make. Only your imagination can limit your potential in Garry's Mod.
