Early Access Review
At first this game seems pretty basic, especially the tutorial and first mission, but once you get past that the game really opens up. It provides an interesting and different challenge each level (as far as i've gotten anyway) that require interesting and different approaches, As you go up tiers you also play these missions as different ant species which completely changes the nature of the game, which leads to a ton of interesting content.

it has excellent voice over work providing information and details and actually a good storyline which I was not expecting at all from an ant colony game! There are several difficulty levels to provide a challenge for whatever level of rts player you are and additional challenge modes for each mission. It even has a nicely done main story persistent nest that you build and upgrade between missions.

This game really encapsulates the feeling of actually ruling an ant colony.

Fantastic Co-op squad based shooter, one of the most fun co-op games I've played probably ever. Strategems are incredibly satisfying to use and the armour system and enemy AI provide multiple challenges that need to be overcome with different strategies and loadouts. Game has had some pretty serious server issues but generally is quite stable now and the devs are working on it all the time.

The game also has a cool global overview map where the devs give major orders for the community to complete and send attacks at planets to defend etc, also the most recent addition to the game the exosuit required the community to defend the planet they were being made on in the lore before accessing them. Content has also been added relatively quickly and the 'season pass' system is actually permanent so there's no fomo you can unlock it at your own pace and the resources to unlock it are all attainable by playing the game.

Really can't recommend enough

I will possibly amend this review when I have more hours but after my first day of playing I thought the game was incredibly enjoyable. A really interesting take on the rougelike deckbuilder genre where your deck is made up of dice instead of cards, leading to a lot of interesting decisions with regards to how risky you want your dice to be, Each die has a 'safe' 'balanced' and 'risky' variant which come with progressively more powerful effects but also more negative sides.

The way health works in the game is also very interesting. Enemies are corrupt and are trying to corrupt you, you are trying to purify them. This means that damage enemies do can also heal them and damage you do is also healing when targeted at you or an ally. Combined with a system of bonus actions called virtues that you unlock by taking damage this means you can find valuable uses for your own corruption dice by targeting yourself to unlock your virtues.

There appears to be six characters currently in the game, I have unlocked 5 and played with 4, each was a completely different experience with unique dice and mechanics. The game art style is also absolutely gorgeous and character designs are great.

There are a few issues with the game, such as a seemingly small pool of enemies (I played several runs and encountered the same enemies/bosses regularly) and of course the expected balance issues with a new roguelike game such as this but overall I thought the game very exceptionally polished and I will be playing it more for sure!

Definitely the best 'town builder' type game I've ever played, great mechanics and the roguelike nature of the game means each town faces it's own interesting choices and challenges. Would highly recommend.

CoH3 seems like a move back towards CoH1 which was my favourite CoH game, light vehicles play a huge role and mobility seems very important, weapons teams still have a place but don't feel as dominant as they did.

I don't post reviews very often but I really felt like this one deserved a negative review, it's very short and there's literally no puzzle solving of any real kind. The whole game is find item - find where item goes to unlock new area with more items. The "lab" is incredibly simple and you only use it like 4 times in the game. Really very short and dull I'm afraid to say
