If you're a fan of CoD Zombies, but hate having to follow video guides for the easter eggs, then I highly recommend you check this game out. It plays similarly, with some slight changes:

- 5 difficulty settings so you can tune the challenge to your liking
- Each map has a quest (like an Easter egg), although the objectives are given to you via the UI
- Miracle system letting you select different powers for each of your equipment;
your gun (ex: bullets slow enemies, or deal more crit damage, or fire faster), melee, grenade, healing elixir, and ultimate ability (ex: invincible for X seconds, AOE damage around you, AOE stun, etc)

The game currently has 4 well put together maps and 4 free battle passes, definitely worth the asking price.

I highly recommend trying guild wars 2, with the release of season 1 fully finished now, there is no better time to jump in and experience the rich storyline of the dragons saga.
Due to the game being a horizontal progression game and not a vertical gear treadmill, its the perfect game for people to jump in and out of and take breaks without feeling like they're falling behind.

It's the first modern MMO that introduced unique gameplay instead of simply copying World of Warcraft and those games that came before it.
And look at it now, several games use its foundation as inspiration for their games.
Ex: FFXIV trials, World of Warcraft dragon flight flying mechanic, ashes of creation.

Evolve Stage 2 has a lot of potential. Although the amount of content is currently lacking, give it a try

TL;DR Game went F2P, which is a good thing to keep the game alive, but TRS went about transitioning into Free-to-Play the wrong way. The game has much less content now, but the foundation of the game has definitely been improved through better design choices and Quality of Life Changes. Give the game a try, even if you already played it back at release.

My impressions on the gameplay changes that came along with Evolve: Stage 2 after around 15 hours of gameplay:

PROS
  • Quality of Life Changes for Hunters (improved jetpacks and hp regen out of combat, etc)
and Monster (pounce improved, traversals recharge faster, one bullet won't stop monsters from eating)
  • Improved some abilities of hunters (ex:Bucket UAV changed to CD reduction) and Monsters (ex:Wraith decoy improved)
  • All hunters have the ability to dome now
  • Weakened Wildlife allows both sides to focus on their enemy's movements easier
  • Maps have been overhauled to reduce foliage and look cleaner and play better
  • Improved perk system
  • New Relay changes make it harder for hunters to stall out a stage 3 monster
  • Support's Shield class ability synergies better and feels better to play against
  • Planet Scanner helps speed up gameplay which feels much better
  • Dropship timer improved
  • Can see damage numbers now
  • Founders got 30K silver keys which is much better than the previous 3k silver keys

CONS
  • Matchmaking keeps matching my pre-made hunter team against hunter players instead of monster players (bad matchmaking?)
  • Less content (Removed Gamemodes and Maps)
  • Removed Achievements
  • Removed Founders progress
  • Some perks need more balancing
  • Monster Damage Reduction perks seem way to powerful
  • FPS drops are present for me personally, when they weren't there before (Using an R9 380)
  • Sneaking is harder to pull off which might be annoying for some players
  • Tutorial doesn't explain a lot of the games mechanics to new players
  • Slims new spore cloud is bad

Problems with game at the time of writing this review.

-Kicked for idling when I was actively playing due to some enemies not spawning in horde mode and it seems like the game checks to see if you deal damage or recieve damage to determine if you're idle or not.
-Queue times take forever.
-Couldn't get into a private server.
-Have to relaunch game after every match to be able to start a party that people can join.
-Horrible AI that will ignore you while you're shooting them in the back
-Melee and gun combat feels diconnected and sluggish.
-Game autobalances which seperates your party of friends... I partied up with my friends to play WITH them, not against them.

The quality of the in-depth and heart wrenching storyline is only surpassed by it's outstanding gameplay mechanics. The puzzles in this game are VERY hard. Unless you're a mathematician you'll probably never complete this game. It's the thinkers Dark Souls. Matching a shape and a color has never been so challenging before.

5-word review: Heart-wrenchingly difficult puzzle game.
