Definitely the best paradox game. The grand-strategy gameplay is interesting but not the focus as much as in the other games. In addition to that whole deal this game is an RPG and a story generator, where you continue playing your dynastic heir after your first character dies. The fact that your charactes keep dying provides a fun challenge and interesting gameplay loop. Even if you end up with a bad character, you can usually fill out at least one skill tree and get pretty good at a certain thing by specialising. Overall, very fun game. I especially recommend playing with friends in multiplayer, once you have a sufficient amount where people are constantly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with eachother it's a great time.


(Usual problems of the paradox DLC policy apply, but unlike some more popular games (especially stellaris, EU4 and HOI4), the DLCs are pretty good (especially the recent ones). There are also not _that_ many of them yet).)

there are very few games that are genuinely interesting and unique and this is definitely one of them... i have to play through it a few more times to get all the achievements and a different ending but it's a very fun little experience! the music, visual style, gameplay, all of it is unique and fun... very cool game i can't wait until the full thing comes out, very glad it's doing as well as it is

If you like observing stuff it's a really fun and cute game, there's not THAT much content (or at least, you don't need to put in many hours to experience most of it) but it's good! It's different from some of the other "pure observation" type games in that there is actual gameplay and you aren't an unlimited power god being, if you want to reach the end you have to try and balance the characteristics of your different species and make sure they don't kill themselves,, overall I think it's a really fun game, not that much replayability but they're still adding content and you will probably enjoy playing it
