KF 2 is a /good/ game, but it is hard to say if it is noticably better or worse when compared to KF.

Basically what KF 2 loses in character it makes up for in objectively better handled mechanics. Graphics and server populations are also objectively better (the gore is also soo good if you can run it).

One example in KF to compare with is the focus on the characters and gritty British aesthetic, this is shown in the level design down to the characters well chosen dialogu. It also has Harry-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-Enfield. KF 2 does not have these. The lab and other levels are clean and have little to no atmosphere in comparison, fortunately some levels are okay though.
On the other hand you have the more interesting difficulty scaling and greater depth with how enemies handle damage in KF2, which can make the game feel a lot more realistic and tense.
