从前有一个妓女，她没什么本事又不愿意进厂工作，但又想过好日子，所以只好卖身。她很幸运，遇见了一群很喜欢她的老顾客，在办事之前妓女会请这些老顾客听她唱一首歌，然后再办正事。久而久之，接的客越来越多，攒下的钱也越来越多，日子逐渐有了起色。
突然有一天，这个妓女发现自己已经攒了一大笔钱，不需要卖身了，甚至可以自己开一个青楼。于是她就开了一个青楼，但是青楼不能只有她一个人啊，于是她想了一个妙招：以前每次办事之前我都会给顾客唱歌，那他们一定是喜欢我唱的歌才来的吧 ，我唱歌这么好听干脆把青楼改成歌舞厅好了。
于是她开了一个歌舞厅，但是因为她没去过那么高档的地方，所以歌舞厅的装潢和服务都是按照青楼的标准来的，如果不走进去甚至看不出来里面是个歌舞厅。
一群她的老客户看见她开了一个青楼，纷纷前来捧场，她也很开心，给老客户们唱了三首歌。唱完之后老客户们纷纷鼓掌，然后问：“下面呢？”
她很自豪地说：“我们这是正规的歌舞厅，不提供性服务。”
老客户们很愤怒，纷纷要求退钱。妓女非常疑惑，难道自己唱歌并不好听吗？
一个老客户对她大喊：“你唱歌比我家杀猪还难听，要不是为了办事我才不听呢。真当自己是个人物了，婊子就别立牌坊了。”
