Such a good little game. Not a ton of content, but it's a blast to do and well worth the 2 bucks

Solid game, worth the money even after leaving its f2p state. Wouldn't recommend the soundtrack as the only reason it's memorable is through repetition. Can't say anything about coven, as i don't own it.

Been sitting here for half an hour watching this game load. Gonna leave it on all night and see if it actually does. Don't buy.

It's a viable overwatch ripoff without actually ripping off anything but the premise. Characters are diverse, original, and fun to play. HiRez did well on this.

Solid stealth mechanics and pretty enjoyable story. Would definitely recommend.

I tried this game in closed beta, and loved it. However, I left it for about 3 or 4 months. Thankfully, when i returned, i found the game to still be a blast. Also, it's free! why not give it a chance?

As much as I love this game, I know that 80% of people will hate it. It's a huge grind wall at first(still a bit even in later game), RNGesus will have to be your best friend if you want all the content, and everything takes forever to build. The key to getting new content is patience, but if you have none, you're screwed . If you can take the time to get into the game, however, it's one of the most fun experiences you'll ever have. The weapons are amazing and diverse (my friend personally was sold after homing machine gun, but things like a lightning gun, a torpedo launcher, a new age lamppost, and a literal cannon that has a shotgun mode are among the most interesting), the parkour system is fluid and manuverable, and the frames are some of the most fun playstyles you'll find anywhere. If this sounds like a fun game to you after this review, DOWNLOAD IT. It's well worth it and gets alot less grindy when you find your favorite weapons and have access to all the quests if you need something to look forward to. If it doesn't sound like a fun game, you'll be better off elsewhere. I personally can take the grindwall, and have put over 2000 hours into it, with nary a burnout in sight. It's a niche game that can get really good once you put a little time, patience, and reverance to rngesus into it.


Two years, a couple thousand hours on the standalone launcher later, and the initial review stands just as much as it did the day i wrote it. Now, onto the newest 'big update' they have every few months
Plains of Eidolon update!

Eh, it added an open world sandboxy area but the [name redacted due to spoiler] system rework along with the acossiated weapons are lackluster, the game's still grindy as all hell, even more so with the fishing, mining, rep grinding for two entirely new factions which can only gain rep from their acossiated missions and still have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DAILY REP CAP, and still those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clan weapon requirements on top of it still being an absolute TERROR to start out. After these two years i've finally put it down for a bit and taken a few months hiatus, which may last indefinitely outside of a few pickups here and there. I love this game still with all my heart, but i still can't recommend it to anyone but the most grind-willing people or the most wide eyed souls who will just fall in love with this game for so long like i did. I genuinely hope if you play it you love it, and maybe you'll keep the wide eyed wonder while exploring the loving work that DE put into their free game, I however, have finally gotten my fill of this grindfest. Great game, grindy as all hell


Update yet again (early 2018 version): I rejoined the game again at the behest of a few friends of mine. Seems the game went one step forward. Alot of the weapons that had been either powercrept or terribly launched were heavily reworked as of last week. That was amazing. However, there is a possible downside in the works/implimented. See, for the past few weeks, the grizzly effects of eidolon have begun to rear their ugly head, and if they aren't addressed, it may spell bad down the line. First, there was a massive set of nerfs to a bunch of farm frames in the name of balancing them for the eidolons. Frames such as banshee, ember, harrow, etc have had their best abilities nerfed to the ground. While i don't play the frames personally, a few of my friends who play have been using them and found remarkable nerfs to the point of possibly giving up on the frames. While this doesn't necessarily spell disaster, it contributes to the already rough problem of heavy grind, on top of the fact that everything may soon be based entirely around eidolon, a portion of the game that truly does not fit with the rest of the game in terms of power level. Be wary. The grind is even worse than it used to be, and there's a chance that the game's power level will be further negatively impacted in the name of tuning the game to the new content at the expense of the old.


Update again: Fortuna: it's back to its former state of no controversy outside of DE's routinely buggy update launches. I've lost alot of dedication to this game, but i think it's finally returned to a state where i'm able to highly recommend it if you can bear the grind. The game is a constant loop of either powercreep or aquiring new things, and i've grown tired of the loop. I probably wont touch warframe for a good long while, so, until then, consider this my final thoughts on the game


6/10, solid, but only for the highest of dedicated persons
