Battlefield done kind of right or at least better than the current EA will ever manage to produce.

Camping simulator.

Mouse input freezes every few seconds. Don't have this problem on in any other game or application and I have tried with several popular mice from leading manufacturers.

After the season 3 update they fixed it. so not only the mouse input freezes, but also the keyboard input.

Great success!

Story was very nice.

Menu is ♥♥♥♥ and pretty much the opposite of intuitive (they can't even get a menu right let that sink in)
SBMM, EOMM, AA on controller, literal pay2win algorithm, ...
If you need advanced, through artificial intelligence enhanced, upscaling at 1080p (!) your whole game should be deleted. No discussion.
I don't want to look at 480p graphics just because Bobby Kotic is too busy molesting kids and/or coworkers to do his real job.

3 things hold this game back from becoming a serious hit and all those things are the unnecessary milsim/realism aspects:

--reloading magazines instead of bullets like every other casual shooter
--no minimap
--bandages with no HP bar instead of a simple 0-100 HP system and dropable bandages from medics

Other than that it is a pretty good game but those three things make the game extremely frustrating to play and it takes a bit to get used to. Gunplay and movement create a kind of casual gameplay in genereal but mixed with the realism it is not a good combination of features. Either go more in the casual direction or more in the realism/milsim direction, but both is just an unusual direction.

Fun with friends

Nettes Spiel für zwischendurch, auch für Personen, die keine "Vollzeit-Gamer" sind. Man sollte auf jeden Fall mit der anderen Person im Voicechat sein, da man sehr genaue Anweisungen geben muss aber das Lösen der Rätsel fühlt sich jedes Mal wieder gut an.

real factions without stupid Operators that have no place in a Battlefield game (nobody cares one of them is non-binary in Battle♥♥♥♥ 2042 because it is supposed to be war. Why the ♥♥♥♥ would I care what my enemy or friend ♥♥♥♥♥ in his or her spare time?)
class system
sustained lobbies on those servers you can choose yourself
almost the same amount of weapons
raw and good mouse input like literally every shooter in the history of shooters ever instead of absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mouse input

(3 years development of multibillion dollar companies vs. Indie developer making a meme game in a month)


Remember those are all crucial and fundamental features of any Battlefield/FPS game ever released, regardless of the developing state and budget of publishers.


Was worth the 80 cents, and I would buy it again, instead of Battleshit 2042 with all of the missing "legacy-features".

I think the developers actually died early in the process of making this game and there are only a few left to """"""""""""""finish""""""""""" this game and deliver this BETA-EXPERIENCE as a full and complete game. It's disgusting to charge people for playing this BETA because it's more likely 1 years of development away from being a product, that is even worth to pay 5 bucks.

Whoever gave this game more than a 10% rating must either be paid really handsomely or be really really retarded.


Edit: The start of Season 1: Zero Hours Effort is today and for more than 4 hours people can not even get into the main menu because of the typical "cannot load persistence data"-error that was, you guessed it, already a problem on launch 8 months ago. They dont give us nearly enough content and now we can't even access the little zero effort content there is. Another one for the books, and another one for the worst team of developers in recent years.


Edit: 2 years later and this has indeed become a finished game and I respect the fact they didn't just pull the plug after Season 4.
