This game is one of the best examples in favor of the argument that games can be art. It's a simple and quick RPG Maker game, but what Lindroth has done in terms of combat design, world design, and more importantly music and visuals elevates this game far beyond the pixel trappings of it's engine.

It's not for everyone. It will take you about 10 minutes just to figure out what the hell you need to do, and you'll keep having to just tough out some sections. The combat can feel static, party members only learn unlockable spells if they're IN your party when you reach a TV, and the last boss can be cheesed just with items and maybe two gestures at most.

But aside from those minor flaws, (which are fixed in the sequel) I do believe that this is one of the most video games of all time. And one of the best, at that.

Sci-Fi MapStrat Game in the same style as other Paradox games, with similar levels of insane DLC, many MANY mechanics to learn, and freedom in how to run your Empire/Hive Mind/Botnet. Works well, modding support, looks good and plays good.

Decent enough on it's own, but the REAL game begins when you stop playing in favor of meticulously tailoring 32 separate mod profiles each with 100+ mods each

It's literally just a nurse outfit. 10/10.

Disintegration, overall, is something I'd classify as... unique. The gravcycle mechanic is unique, and the RTS mechanics are integrated well. However, I feel like the gravbikes are too slow, and the units are too weak to kill them, leading to most players just focusing on enemy gravbikes. While it's fun, and I certainly recommend it, the gravcycles need to be adjusted.

Incredibly realistic, entertaining, and overall just a good experience overall. Progression is a bit slow, but that gives you time to really learn about how everything works.

It's alright

Trust me when I say that buying the UE is almost always the best option for this game.

Aside from the absolutely insane level of DLC, the game is either: shoot cops a lot OR wait/sneak/both

Some heists are involved, while others are just you shooting a lot of cops while waiting for a drill to break drill.

I can lose, in the tutorial. Guess who did it for over an hour, trying to be perfect before I even played a full game? Me.
Looks great, plays smoothly, and is always fun.
