Valve/Bethesda pulled back on the poorly thought out and greedy paid mod system. This keeps intact a vibrant modding community and on top of a fantastic game. The modding community (in addition to hundreds of hours of content) is a reason that this game is still relevant 4 years after its release. How many games can you say that about.

P.S. If you try the paid mods program again - be a little less greedy with the split - remember people have to buy the base game to even use the mods - which already makes Valve/Bethesda tons of money. Create a better approval system to limit the chances that people will steal other peoples mods and submit them to the paid mod program. In addition a better system for refunds for unstable mods.

If you are going to try this again you can make it better. Be more just with the split, and make the program a bit more exclusive - ensuring higher quality mods and good developers get rewarded.

Original Review: Valve/Bethesda now allows paid mods to support the mod developers, but keeps 75% for themselves. Don't claim to be mod developer friendly and keep 75%.

If you liked previous games in the series, then it is highly recommended. Not as groundbreaking as Arkham City, but not a huge step backwards either. While it might not feel as fresh and as inventive as Arkham Asylum and Arkham City did before, its still a highly enjoyable adventure and highly recommended for fans of the series.

One of the most addictive games I own. Highly recommended.
