I need to tell you that I might rate the game positively if there was no ability to check the online players list before raiding. So...

Let's talk about PvP multiplayer on official servers first.

In very short: it is like smoking - you loose when you start. The only winning move is not to play. You can try to increase your chances and become a gaming addict which is a formal illness since 2019-05-25 that falls into 6C51 Gaming disorder according to WHO’s ICD-11. You will play 16h per day and have no real life.

Somewhat longer version: You need to play in tribe to survive. You will die without friends. The game prefers no-lifers. Buildings look like taken from the world of Minecraft (square shapes). Two morons playing 12 hours each and every day can win. The game is cheating You all the time - you can check who is online and it does not matter how far from your place their base is. The developers don't mind this... The game shows you a message when a player connects so other players can raid you when you go offline. Fear, uncertainty and doubt. You are doomed by design. Why would you play such game and let them manipulate you?

Full version:
This game is designed to lure you into its world and make you want to survive inside it. BUT... it requires a LOT of time to spend inside the game's world. If you don't plan on spending at least 6h per day for the next few months then don't even bother to start playing because you will fail. They will raid you while you sleep and there is nothing you can do about it (other than playing 24 hours per day or getting some friends to play when you sleep). Additionaly it seems the developers are going to do anything to attract new customers so the game is loosing its original style which attracted old players (painting whole dinosaur with red paint? WTF?!?).

In my opinion the game lacks the following things and has these weak sides:
- no ability to build under the ground (building under the water is not the same as building under the ground)
- physics of buildings is very simple, almost non-existent (other than lift/elevator you can not make structures which move, ie. no chain bridges and the huge gates close themselves by pressing a button and not by using the force of your muscles or dinos etc.)
- there are automatic machine gun turrets, tek shields and teleporters but there are no simple electric fences or simple dynamic bridges
- no ability to set up special shields for the time you are going to be offline (i know there are no offline raid servers but that is not it)
- it usually takes hours to tame a dino, it often takes a second to loose it, plenty of times because of software bug
- some items require lots of resources, a lot more than in real life
- some items break very fast because of usage, a lot faster than in real life
- you can not burn a wooden house, not even thatch
- but you can paint an animal to your liking which i consider promoting animal cruelty
- the building blocks are huge, you place whole walls, whole pillars, you can not place single bricks and so the buildings are all the same and no surprises there
- you can not build a pyramid in this game, there are some sloped roofs but thats all, no corners etc. everything is square shape oriented
- the dinos look nice but they interact artificially with the surroundings
- you can get stuck inside a dino
- the whip is made of Cactus Sap and Sand - does it make sense to you?
- the night is made by decreasing brightness of the screen and people overcome this by using gamma changing software tools, why don't they (developers) use dithered masking to at least partially fix (mitigate) this hack?
- you can check who is online which makes the secrecy non-existent thing - you can not hide your presence, everybody see current players list even if they have their base far far away
- you can check who is offline and raid their base
- last but not least the game is won by no-lifers, usually the kids with plenty of free time playing the game 18h per day, the game should require the character to get some sleep or force player to take a break by lowering his stats as a form of punishment! I would really like to see developers adding such punishing server type to the pool. Also it would be great to weaken the tribes (for example tribe owned dinos should be less loyal and thus having lower stats etc.) and to make single players stronger by creating loyalty of dinos.

Other than that it is awesome... oh... did i say you can not burn a wooden house, not even a thatch one? ...but you can kill rex by standing on the campfire.

The single player (and multiplayer on private servers) is great if you don't mind some bugs during gameplay (mostly not deal breakers). If you like dinosaurus then it is well made game with decent graphics. Multiplayer... well, humans suxx so the multiplayer suxx too. Unless you try a private server with some normal friends.
