fun only if you play with friends. The physics are goofy, the controls feel like you’re steering a drunk ragdoll, and solo play gets annoying fast. But with a group? It turns into pure chaos — shoving, grabbing, falling, laughing. Simple visuals, stupid fun. Great for multiplayer, meh alone.

Hour 1: "Whoa, these faces animate like actual people—but why are they all sort of suspicious-looking?"
Hour 15: "I misinterpreted a blink and sent an innocent suspect to prison. RIP my detective rep."
Hour 34.4: "I adore this game. I detest this game. I'm emotionally drained. But I just can't quit."

Here's what it's like, from my brain to the page:

The vibe is chef's-kiss. Cruising through hazy 1940s LA, jazz drifting in the distance—it's so brooding I half expect Bogart to walk by.

Facial expressions just blow minds. Those interrogations? Off the chain. Sometimes it's like reading an entire book from a single glance. (But, and Redditers would agree, sometimes they're so over-the-top that they're close to caricature.) but how do thtey do that? That was that accurate, every inches of the face was that reasonable, they probably should release a refined version to make it the 10/10 perfect game

Interrogations are more like guessing games. You half the time guess "Doubt" and they just spill the beans—and you're like "Did the game troll me back already?"

But—since nothing is perfect:

Feels kinda formulaic after some time. It's always drive → investigate → interrogate → maybe a chase or a shootout. Your brain eventually just goes, "Again?" and sometimes it gets frustrating to repeat again and again to Analyse their pretty faces

Driving and shooting are meh. They are not broken, but they are clunky and slow versus the other Rockstar games. Many people ESL-ing it as "just filler." but it does have a skip driving option though

Technical wonkiness on PC. Had no problems though but Some players reach 30 FPS lock, crash, even launcher updates that make the game feel… cluttered.

For newcomers (no spoilers!)

Genre: Noir detective in open-ish-world 1940s LA.

Core loop: Drive, poke around crime scenes, interrogate—ruthlessly question blinks, hesitation, or weird eye twitches.

Style: Cinematic. Think smoky offices, rusted cars, and jazz crackling through the speakers.

Why play it: Because even at its rough edges, it's a detective fantasy that few other games can pull off.

Heads-up: Stay sharp during interrogations—and if the controls feel clunky, just roll with it. The vibe sells it.

Final Thoughts

10/10 detective fantasy with caveats.

I'm smiling at times, face-palming at others, and somewhere in between invested and frustrated—but I keep playing. That's the magic of L.A. Noire. It's flawed and a little rough around every corner—but it still gets under your skin. Just a little frustrated about repitition of to anaylse there faces and all but quite ok, just watch walkthrough on yt and go ahead

"Style over substance? Maybe. But the substance is still ridiculously fun."

Sunset Overdrive wears its punk rebellion and anti-corporate edge like a Halloween costume—loud, messy, and not particularly deep. The humor leans into juvenile territory and often misses, but somehow, none of that really matters once you're in motion.

Traversal is where this game absolutely shines. Grinding, bouncing, and air-dashing across the city is so smooth and satisfying that I actually found myself hunting down collectibles just for the joy of moving around. It’s rare for an open world to feel this fluid and kinetic.

On the downside: some technical hiccups (occasional audio dropouts, one glitched quest), and the base defense segments are a slog. Ammo balance is off, and several weapons feel like filler. Also, it takes too long to unlock the full traversal toolkit, which is a shame because that’s the game’s real strength.

Despite the flaws, it’s loud, chaotic, and genuinely entertaining in a way few games are. A stylish mess—but a fun one.
