Well, I bought it, played it, and beat the game to 100% completion. Meaning I got all the achievements before writing this review. And I can confidently say that this game feels half assed, and not as important as it was advertised to be. I honestly feel ripped off. This just feels exactly what it was a year and a half ago when shown off for the first time. And that's a tech demo with two new modes. Only now it's nearly double the price from the first game. Glitches that were in the free demo version, still somehow were in this full released version. Like the AI getting stun locked when interacting with each other. Saiko side walking in the ground after being stabbed by the blonde girl, hits not registering when fighting AI. Saiko locked running in place in hunger mode if your holding an item when touched. I thought with the time between the demo and release, that kind of stuff would be fixed or checked by the play testers. Making me question what was going on in between then if it was still there?

The AI is a joke at some points too. The main advertised character elissu, that was supposed to be this menacing, toying, and overall threat to the player on the modes she's in. Is just almost non of those in reality when you learn the simply concept of either running, or Micheal Jackson moon walking around the map keeping eye contact with her. Since the speed you walk, is the same speed her dump truck ass moves when trying to attack you on foot. You can pretty much find the shrine and objectives backwards without taking any damage. Though a few times even when the shrine in supposed to be a safe haven spot. The AI still moves in to kill, only to remember few seconds later their not supposed to be there. And run to the back of the shrine and look around lost.

Speaking of the shrine, Why does the voice never shut the ♥♥♥♥ up? Five seconds into the first mode and your barraged to take the heart and start doing fetch quest stuff in specific order of modes to move in the story. Why couldn't it have been you find the shrine first, then the voice starts talking. Also, I really don't like how everything is tied to completing these fetch objectives. I know that's one of the major parts of the previous game. But in that we had the option to get out our way by either the codes on the board, finding the pages, or risk sneaking and stealing the keys off saiko. And there was nothing yelling at us to do it a specific way. I understand this was meant for the purpose to tell the "story". I feel like there were better ways to do it though. Apparently there's lots of easter eggs in the game. I assume in the forum of the phone you get near the end being able to call phone numbers, if you know certain numbers you spawn things I guess. But unless you get to spawn stuff like weapons or spawn/respawn AI. Then I don't see the point in playing after beating the game in every mode. Including "extreme" mode which is just the map being darker then before, and you have no map to help you keep track of fetch stuff. I thought that's what the whole game was meant to be honestly. I think it would have played a lot better and made certain mechanics more useful. It would force you to really think and watch your corners, remembering paths while being chased or stalked, instead of looking at the map most of the time and seeing a quick blimp of the enemy before they attack. In hunger mode you can pretty much track saiko the whole time without ever seeing her.

In general I didn't enjoy this game that much as I wanted to. And I had my expectation low with how things are going right now with the series at the moment. I know from most of these other reviews from play testers, players with only one or two hours of play time. It doesn't seem like it's a bad game. But with the dev offering this game free to specific types of people. Removing comments and discussions that disagree with the dev or this game, and fans rushing in now to defend this game like it's better then the first one somehow. It's pretty clear the state of how this game is being received by fans that aren't brainwashed. Which is a tech demo cash grab that's meant to be a test for the anticipated nightmare mode. I will not be surprised if this review gets deleted. If it does, then it'll prove my point on how the dev is trying to keep the game looking great to potential new players.

Update:01/29/24
So it seems that my discussion has been deleted by the dev themselves out of the blue. Speculating and guessing the state of this game and future projects in the discussion. So I rest my case in the fact that the dev is doing damage control, and silencing anyone that speaks up.
