This is one of the best and most unique RTS game of all times.

Its blend of a single very powerful hero-like unit (the Shaman), big armies of hundreds of units, destruction of buildings and land, world/planet-like maps and terraforming with a plethora of spells like Earthquake, Firestorm, Tornado, Volcano, and more, make Populous: The Beginning to stand out of the rest of the RTS games out there.

If you're looking for multiplayer, better resolution options, hotkeys bindings and all kind of quality of life (QoL) improvements, go search for Populous: Reincarnated.
To this day the game still has a community making new maps, new campaigns, co-op, multiplayer balance, support for 8 players (4 new tribes) and even tournaments!
