zillagamers 2 coming April 2019

Good news!
I've decided to come back to Garry's Mod and a new zillagamers is in the works! I plan to have the new server up no later than April of 2019.

OLD:

Lately, I have decided to bring back ZillaGamers as zillagamers (all lowercase). This DarkRP server, unlike the old server, will have completely new staff. As opposed to the old server, this server should not have any problems when it comes to funding or DDoS attacks. I will ensure this server is up 24/7, and I will ensure it has many great qualities that are enough to create a thriving community once again.

4 years later, ZillaGamers is up for Round II

Back in 2014, I created a DarkRP gaming community known as ZillaGamers. Established in January of that year as TrueRP, we started as a small community of passionate roleplayers. Our server had a good start, with at least 10 active members at any given moment. In February 2014, the server was rebranded as ZillaGamers and more features were added to give it a bit of charm. The server continued to be successful until the decision to temporarily shutter it in April of 2014.

Fortunately, however, the community remained loyal and the server was just as popular as it was prior to the shutdown in its first relaunch May 2014. May proved to be a controversial month, as conflict began to arise amongst our staff members as I've made several fateful decisions that severed ties with those who were once my allies.

Our community hit its peak in June 2014. We had at least 20 players on the server on average at any given moment. Unfortunately, however, this success was short-lived. The sudden change of staff in addition to the fatal decision to shutter the server "on a bad day" sealed the community's fate, and after numerous name changes and desparate attempts to revive the community what was left of ZillaGamers died in July 2014.

4 years later, ZillaGamers is up for Round II. The new server is currently under development and will be launched to the general public in February 2018. Unlike the previous server, I have both the maturity and the financial means to keep the server's heart pumping. I've had years to learn from my mistakes from the first ZillaGamers and I will not make them again. The server will launch with either EvoCity or Rockford, and will have many unique features that make it stand out from every other DarkRP server.

Teaser & list of upcoming features in the new zillagamers.

This is a quick teaser made for the upcoming revival of zillagamers, a DarkRP server that once flourished in Summer 2014 and then suffered a sharp downfall. This one is a bit sketchy, but it does give some hints of what to expect in the new zillagamers. Yes, zillagamers in all lowercase.

Confirmed feature list for zillagamers:
- The map WILL be rp_evocity_v33x. If it does not succeed, we will create another rp_downtown_v4c_v2 version of the server and kill off the unsuccessful server. We will also consider Rockford, but only if EvoCity falls flat on its face.
- Food mod.
Yes, there will be a food (and hunger) mod. However, you will be able to purchase food in shipments for dirt cheap if you'd like. Combined with an inventory mod, I doubt there will be any major problems with the mod. We will use the "Food & Household items" prop pack. Unlike the previous incarnation once featured on ZillaGamers back in the day, there will be zero ways to abuse the food.
- Bank robberies
No questions asked. We will for sure have a bank robbery mod on this server
-VCMod and VCMod ELS
Unlike the old ZillaGamers, I was finally able to afford VCMod and even its ELS counterpart. These vehicle mods should hopefully dramatically boost the driving experience in game and keep yet a few more players hooked.
-Phones
We will for sure have a phone mod. gPhone in the beta that is to be released in July. The phone system will get more comprehensive as the server grows.
-24/7 Server hosting
If you were a loyal Zilla back in 2014, you might remember that I hosted the server on my home computer and it was never 24/7. That will not happen this time. If the server ever pops up, it is through paid 24/7 hosting. People will now be able to play whenever they want anywhere in the world, not just whenever I want. I am also doing this due to security issues, as people DDoS'ed my home internet leading to me having zero internet for an entire day.

Possible features (post-beta):

-Computer and internet mod:
We will have a comprehensive system of an in-game internet and computers, but only if the server is successful both financially and in popularity
-Slot machines
I am talking about the slot machine mod where you press E and it spins for you. It's a good, fun way to both balance out the economy and reward players. Massive payouts, but the chances of winning will be slim to none. Since the code for this already exists, it might even pop up in the zillagamers beta.

I will list more features when they come to my head. For now, these are the features that may or will pop in to the gamemode.
