silensmors pointed out that Alt+Tabbing out of the game just to change game team channel in mumble does not work well. He shared a useful tip on how to assign hotkeys to do so. This hopefully encourages less team-stacking.

1 In Mumble go to settings/configuration
2 Tick the checkbox "advanced" in lower left corner of the Mumble configuration window
3 Go to shortcuts in the left panel
4 Click "Add" and choose Whisper/Shout in the function dropbox
5 In data column click once then click the eclipse and select channel
6 In the popup window click Shout to channel radio button, then choose a TOP game sub-channel, e.g. Game #1 - Blood Eagle
7 Click OK to close the window.
8 Click shortcut column and assign a hotkey (may be mouse button or keyboard key stroke), e.g. Ctrl+1
9 Click "Add" and choose Join Channel in the function dropbox
10 Click shortcut column and assign the same hotkey as step 8.
11 Repeat steps 4 to 10 for other sub-channels.

In essence one is assigning the same hotkey to the whisper/shout and join channel function. The join channel function appears only after "advanced" mode is enabled.

Some group members asked me how to add the game to Steam so the overlay will be avaiable.

(Assuming installation directory of Tribes Ascend is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Hi-Rez Studios\")

1. Add "HiRezLauncherUI.exe" located in the root installation directory.
2. Once added, right click and select Properties.
3. Rename "HiRezLauncherUI" to "Tribes Ascend", and append " game=200 product=10" (without quotes) to the end of Target.
