Well guys, it's been a blast, but after almost 3 years, I am going to close the site. This is not a decision I am taking lightly, and have been considering it for about 4 or 5 months now.

There are a few reasons for this:

1) Everyone has moved on to newer things. People don't come here as much any more, and that is fine.

2) Zombie games are becoming less and less popular.

3) I'm busy with other projects and University, and so keeping this site running for 1 or 2 people has become more of a burden than it is worth.

4) I can't afford to keep the site open.

So, before I go, there are a few things I want to say, and a few questions I want to answer.

First off, I will not sell the site. I do not trust anyone but me with the database which contains all your information, all the posts etc. I will not be deleting the database, so if for some reason I decide to bring the site back in some way, I can.

Secondly, I achieved what I set out to do. I wanted to keep a community going through a bad time and keep it going until it naturally died, which it has. The circumstances of the site's creation were filled with drama, but we survived longer than the Left 4 Dead Forums did and longer than every other splinter site did. We won. Other people may disagree, but I know for a fact that we won.

Thirdly, the site will not be shutting down immediately. I will be leaving it on until the hosting runs out, but I will not be paying for more hosting. It could be weeks, I don't know. So if you want to get in contact with members you've grown close to, now is the time to do it.

Finally, I just wanted to say thank you. These three years have been a blast, and I am really proud of what we did here. Yes it was never the biggest or most active forum, but we kept our group going and created arguably a closer-knit community here than we ever had before. That wouldn't have happened without your support and your patience with me while I worked to get this place going. It's been fun.
