Diablo 3 Open Beta Weekend this weekend!

Pretty much exactly what it says on the title. Download the client from your account page on battle.net (and yes it's a different client to the release client, but it's much smaller, it's around a 20 minute download.)

Starts tonight at 9pm GMT/noon PDT. Hope to see some of you on there - poke me on here or RealID if you want to party up.

SWTOR Free for all previous subscribers until friday.

EA are getting desperate - in quick succession they granted a free month to everyone that had an active sub and a level 50 character, then a free month to any active players with legacy level 3, and now a free week to all previous subscribers (ending this friday.)

I think I might having a look at the second Kaon flashpoint. Other than that, not much seems to have changed. the new UI options are horribly clunky and difficult to use. Also, expect your talent trees to have been reset.

EA stated today that they'll be laying off between 500-1000 employees due to a difficult financial year, mainly due to SWTOR not performing as well as they'd hoped, and declining subs for the already failing game.

Serves 'em right - don't make your customers wait 5 years for a game then release an unfinished pile of ♥♥♥♥.
