The Black Mesa CS:GO team

After over a year of waiting, Valve has released CSGO's newest operation! Operation Hydra is set to run for 18 weeks and includes 3 new game modes and the Operation Hydra Case.

Gamemodes added with Operation Hydra:

Wingman - 2v2 best-of-16 match on single-bombsite defuse maps

Weapons Expert - 5v5 best-of-30 match where you can only buy each weapon once per match

Note: Wingman and Weapons Expert gamemodes will have their own competitive matchmaking with rankings as well



War Games - Regular matches with unique twists, where players vote on the next War Game to play at the end of the match

Heavy Assault Suit - casual bomb defusal gamemode with the added option to purchase the Heavy Assault Suit (featured in certain missions from Operation Bloodhound's campaign)
Headshots Only - only shots to the head will hit
Hunters-Gatherers - similar to the Kill Confirmed CoD gamemode, you kill enemies to take their dogtags and recover your own
Stab Stab Zap - gamemode featuring knife, recharging taser, and grenades only
The Flying Scoutsman - armed with only an SSG08 and knife, fight your opponent with boosted accuracy and lowered gravity
Trigger Discipline - every shot missed does damage to the player who shot
