I've installed a plugin that automatically detects all chat binds, and blocks everyone but the author from seeing them.

Players can disable this blocking via the !bind command.

(It defaults to the blocking being "on").

As admins, you guys will still see the messages, but they'll be translucent in the same way /spoiler works, so you can still mentally ignore them if it's that important to ya.

The intention here is for players to come across it on their own with no hinting or explanation - so don't go telling people about it.

It's designed as a sort of "shadow gag" for a reason.

So I'm gonna make this clear to everyone - don't overuse "fun commands" you happen to have access to. Things like /disco, /rename, /play, /happy, /firebomb, /smite @all etc. In the past I've been removing access to them whenever they become a problem. They become a problem when I start getting reports from anyone - even the person using them - that they're available and being used.

Now that admins are tierized, it shouldn't be as much as a problem. However, I still have a lot of admin permissions to switch around and allow or deny between coppers/moderators/admins/specialty. It's time consuming because the way Sourcebans is set up requires me to override every command one at a time for all 4 groups.

Plz continue doing a good job of not overusing them and just letting me know if they're available.

It's about time I mix around how administration works on TF2Data.

Just because I'm changing up how administration works does not mean I am asking for new admins.

The rule still applies: Do not ask to become admin. Doing so is the fastest way to lose any chance of becoming an admin.

Please do not encourage anyone to do this.

There are now different tiers of admins.

Regular - 3
Bit Donor - 7
Mega Donor - 8
Giga Donor - 9

Those are just the donor tiers. The number next to them is their "immunity level".

Immunity level in sourcemod controls who can target who with commands.

Of course, donors have no commands that can target other players.

Admins of the same immunity level can no longer target each other. This is to avoid disputes between admins. However, admins of different levels can target each other. Listen to your higher admin. But if you still don't agree, ask me.

If you're a higher admin than someone else, don't let it get to your head and don't be ... overbearing or whatever. Y'know. Admin tiers in this group don't mean you have some kind of sovereignty over other humans. It just means I trust you with more privileges.

The new system will make it easier for me to consider "new" admins, if/when I ever do, as they can start in a "beginner/trial/noob admin" tier and work their way up.

But who is what? Which groups have access to what commands?

I was passive about exploits in the past and... still kinda am.

But basically, if someone wants to show off some exploit like once, that's fine - as long as they don't stall too long after they "get noticed".

After that, warn the person not to keep doing it.

Y'know, "oh yeah lol that exploit. after this round stop going there plz".

If they keep going just timebomb/slay.

If it's not exactly a "map exploit" but it is a "location that's very hard for the average player to get to", then go by how stally it's causing the round to be and whether or not anyone thinks the Hale can actually make it to that spot.

If it's taking upwards to 3-15 minutes that should raise a red flag to timebomb the very clever person hiding in a very clever location and otherwise warn them.

The moon on spaaaaace has collision, so you can get up there. It requires the boss to know how to use the jump pad, strafe hard to the left, super jump in mid air, surf on the moon, and super jump again.

Basically if you're boss VS TLAR have free reign to use exploits all you want because he can probably deal with it.

If you see people doing this, please slay them and tell them to stop.

If they persist, kick.

If they still persist, ban in increments of 5, 10, 20, 40 minutes.

At least until I actually fix it in code.

ETA on when I get back into TF2 again is unknown, it's nice to get to let off all the steam from lack of a good MMORPG to play and the drama I left off before going inactive. Luckily there's been no TF2 updates too.
