Introduction:

It sure has been a while, hasn’t it? (Yes, it has. I even got a moustache now – Van ♥♥♥♥ style, like I always wanted.) Now, I’m sure that we all had our fair share of hours put into Planetside. But even I from time to time get the urge to log-in and lead a platoon, to once again see the glorious battles. Probably because I miss the days we’ve spent together, the laughs, nonsense, and especially the fantastic people I’ve met along the way. And I’m sure that I’m not alone at this. During my time after the 382nd, I’ve met so many people from back in the day, that were looking for the outfit. And what was the thing they all remember? Us, the people, the ones who made the 382nd, the 382nd. You, the people were the reason we played, the reason I logged in every weekend at 2 am. So, I was going down memory lane, when I had a little idea.

On the 21st of November, the 382nd will celebrate its 6th birthday, 6 years since Noble06 created an elite Mosquito piloting outfit. (About one day after Planetside 2 itself.) Back in the day, we used to have some sort of a special little event almost every year, and so I thought to myself: why not do it again?
Thus, it’s my pleasure to be able to bring to you: The 1st Reunion of the 382nd!

This event is not based on any game we played (Planetside), it’s based on us, the outfit. A chance for those of us that stopped checking-in to break the ice alongside everybody else and simply have a good, relaxing time like we used to back in the day. During this time, we will have a platoon up in Planetside, but this time around there will be no com-silence, no strict orders. All mics are open and all jokes fly free! Shenanigans galore, and let the other outfits be our witness.

Because hey, the 382nd is made of people. And I for one, miss these people (that means you, reader). I’m really looking forward to catching up with all of you, and even if we once again drift our own different ways, if our outfit brings us together once, it can bring us together again. And I truly hope that this only the first, and not the last reunion we’re having.

P.S. I remember that we used to take a lot of group photos, but I can’t get my hands on even one. This is why I insist that we take a proper group photo or two, so that I can have something from the time we spent together. I might even frame it. Seriously. (Also, if anybody happens to have a group photo, preferably with me in it, but if I'm not that's still fine, please do me a personal favour and send a copy to me. Thank you.)

Schedule for the event/s:

Wednesday, the 21st: Outfit’s birthday. Best wished expressed through Discord.

Friday, the 23rd: Birthday event / pre-reunion event. Hanging out in Discord, chatting, playing games, checking out Planetside in advance. Nothing overly special, low attendence expected.

Friday, the 30th: 1st Reunion of the 382nd with a platoon in Planetside.

7:30pm EST (30 minutes before Ops): Preparations.

8:00pm: Group photo in Planetside.

8:20pm – 10:00pm (give or take): Planetside 2, open platoon, Flash races…

Who is invited?

The invitation goes out to ANYBODY that is or ever was a member of the 382nd, even if just for a minute. You are invited. People who disappeared for 2+ years? Invited. People who left the outfit to join another? Invited. People who caused drama and/or were salty? Invited. (Yes, you know who I mean, and no it's not just them, there are a few outfits that are the offsprings of our members, you know. And you also know that it was all a very long time ago. Hatchets not buried yet? That’s ok, they’re all invited.) Hey you there, yes you, reading this. Wanna know a secret, come closer. Closer. Closer… You’re invited.

That all said, I truly hope to see as many of you present as I can. If you can't make it, you can even give us a little poke in Discord, we always love seeing people from back in the day. And don't worry, there are no commitments here, just friends.

P. S. S. While we need no confirmation whatsoever for the event (and everybody is free to drop in and out as they please), I am making a private list of all attendees, confirmed or not sure, for personal organisation purposes on my side of things. I appreciate anybody that makes a comment, or somehow says they're at least interested.

We have some group games planned for Arma 3 / Foxhole / Squad.

Some of the games will be Arma 3 modded coop campaign / Arma 3 life , Squad , or the good old classic Planetside. Specific times aren't really planned but check out our Cooperation with CLG for ARMA 3 events on Saturday 3pm EST and onward, other wise just hop on whenever there is a group going.

UPDATE: Not anymore son! We're back to our old self again.

A short reminder that from now on Platoons will begin 1 hour EARLYER, and thus last for 3 hours! Oficially, Ops will start at 7:00 pm EST, but since I'm a dumbass when it comes to time zones, I'll just say that it starts 1 hour from now (the moment this post went live).

And yes, you are allowed to take piss and snack brakes, just hold back the details please. Or don't.

We'll be doing this until we feel like it's time to stop, so probably at the end of summer. Or never. Who knows!
