The purpose of this group is to identify games that natively support "tate" mode (from the Japanese word for vertical ( 縦 ) pronounced "tah-tay"), that is, a vertical monitor setup.

This usually means a vertical shmup.

It is also to provide support and monitor setup suggestions for those who like their gaming experiences...elongated.

PSA: Psikyo ports by City Connection roadmap

FYI, City Connection continue to bring the Switch ports of Psikyo's outstanding catalog of shmups to Steam.

All have native TATE support.

The ports are slowly improving, too -- you can now exit the game from the menu instead of ALT-F4.

They've been moving briskly with a port every few weeks. Here's their roadmap:
