12th Ukrainian Special Operations Detachment is a Military Battalion of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Originally an unknown unit of the Military, before the events of Chernobyl happened. With word of various strange anomalous activity within the exclusion Zone, the unit was deployed and tasked with controlling the borders of the exclusion zone. The unit is slightly better trained that the average Military unit, trained specifically for operations within the Zone after corrections to the units ideology. They are the largest organised force within the Zone, with around 350 men stationed in outposts in and out of the Zone's border. A force to be reckoned with.
