I believe I'm not wrong when I say that time has come to re-launch SPL.
Initially, the re-launch would have used a new format for matches, however, I came to the conclusion that while it would be far more easier to manage everything, it would take much more time to finish the fixtures. Comparing the two formats (one that is based on CCL format and the newer format), it would take ~20 week to finish a cycle with the new format, while the one based on CCL would take 12 weeks, excluding play-off weeks (weeks 13, 14 and 15).
On top of that, the other major change is the fact it's for Vanilla Shogun 2 as opposed to our first FoTS attempt.

The registration threads will be available shortly. I would also be thankful if you'd spread the word.

This is a league, comprised of multiple divisions, designed to give the Total War: Shogun 2 competitive community a proper, persistent league system. The reasons for creating this league are to give a greater meaning to Total War: Shogun 2 matches, to provide regular fixtures for players against opponents matched at their skill level and to give a measure of the strength of players, in the community.

At the end of each season, two players will be promoted and demoted, so no matter which division you're in, there's everything to play for.
