The 2020 SBRL season opener was a huge success!
There was no shortage of excitement Saturday night as the boys duked it out on the one and only Laguna Seca.
Brosco started the season off right with the win. He had 2nd place locked up tight for most of the race in that fire breathing all white Cadillac. Brosco prides himself in bringing the only grassroots no sponsor team as well as the only American muscle to the field.
Whatsun led the first 35 laps with ease, but an unfortunate spill after the pack-up lap set him up for a 3rd place finish. That didnt stop him from taking the points lead though with a point each for Laps led, fastest qualifying, and 2 for final race postion.
Falf snuck into 2nd place after a shaky qualifying put him in the back of the pack. Its suspected that maybe he thought it was the baja 1000 because he did most of his driving in the dirt.
Hilltop was battling a steering rack issue all race putting him slightly off his normal fiery pace but is expected to be a strong contender for the rest of the season.
