Today is Cow/Chick-fil-a Appreciation Day.

With the recent admission of the owner of Chick-fil-a, many groups are pushing for boycotts, closures, and bans on Chick-fil-a. Many mayors are even vowing to not allow Chick-fil-a s into their towns.

Show your support for Chick-fil-a TODAY.

2 Thessalonians 2:5-12
5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness

John 3:11-12
Most assuredly, I am telling you, We tell you what We know and confirm what We have seen, and you do not believe Us. If I have told you things that can be confirmed on the Earth and you do not believe, how will you understand if I tell you things about heaven?

There was a missionary who went to China and had a very successful and large ministry there. He felt called to go into Korea and minister there, so he went up a river into Korea by boat with some Chinese believers. In Korea they were attacked and everyone accept the missionary was killed on the river. When he got to shore, the missionary approached the leader of the attackers with a white flag in one hand and a Bible outstretched in the other. Immediately the leader drew a blade and slashed the chest of the missionary, almost decapitating him, and killed him. It seemed like the missionaries calling to Korea had become a waste.

Several years later other missionaries went to Korea and found a church already there in the region near the river. From the church, they were greeted by the children of the leader of the attackers.

Thanks Jeremiah! I've reposted this as an announcement.

There is a massive campaign out that is saying that the Bible predicts that Jesus is coming and that the end of the world will happen on May 21. DO NOT BE FOOLED! The Bible makes it clear that no one will know the day or time that it will happen, but that it will happen when we least expect it. Because of this we should be living every day ready as if JESUS COULD RETURN AT ANY MOMENT.

Mathew 25:13
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Luke 12:40
Therefore be ready as well: for the Son of man is coming at an hour when you think not.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-6
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I write unto you. For you know perfectly that the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night. For when they will say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as labor on a woman with child; and they will not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. You are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be clear minded.

Revelation 3:3
Remember therefore how you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. Therefore if thou shalt not watch, I will come on you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come to you.

1Corinthians
1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

6:14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

15:16-19 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
JeremiahWOLBI 24 Apr, 2011 @ 8:30pm
15:3-8 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

15:51Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Someone said, “the evidence by now is clear that God rewards closed minded stupidity. All with sharp, analytical minds who question the world around them will burn in hell, no matter how kind those people are.”

Here is an account of a smart open minded man who through questioning the world around him found the God of the Bible.

While I believe in the account of Genesis rather that the Big Bang, there is still proof of God visible in creation.

“Few scientists are widely respected as this one-time protégé’ to legendary astronomer Edwin Hubble. Sandage has been showered with prestigious honors from the American Astronomical Society, ad the Swedish Academy of Sciences, receiving astronomy’s equivalent of the Novel Prize. The New York Times dubbed Him the “”Grand Old Man of Cosmology.””

As he approached the stage at this 1985 conference on science and religion, there seemed to be little doubt where he would sit. The discussion would be about the origin of the universe, and the panel would be divided among those scientists who believed in God and those who didn’t, with each viewpoint having its own side of the stage.
JeremiahWOLBI 23 Mar, 2011 @ 3:22pm
Many of the of the attendees probably knew that the ethnically Jewish Sandage had been a virtual atheist even as a child. Many others undoubtedly believed that a scientist of his stature must surely be skeptical about God. As Newsweek put it, “”The more deeply scientists see into the secrets of the universe, you’d expect, the more God would fade away from their hearts and minds.”” So Sandage’s seat among the doubters was a given.

Then the unexpected happened. Sandage set the room abuzz by turning and taking a chair among the theists. Even more dazzling in the context of a talk about the Big Bang and its philosophical implications, he disclosed publicly that he had decided to become a Christian at age fifty.
JeremiahWOLBI 23 Mar, 2011 @ 3:22pm
The Big Bang, he told the rapt audience, was a supernatural event that cannot be explained within the realm of physics as we know it. Science had taken us to the First Event, but can’t take us further to the First Cause. The sudden emergence of matter, space, time, and energy pointed to the need for some kind of transcendence.

“”It was my science that drove me to the conclusion that the world is much more complicated than can be explained by science,”” he would later tell a reporter. “” it was only through the supernatural that I can understand the mystery of existence.”” “ – The Case for a Creator, Lee Strobel

Jeremiah 9:23-24
Thus says the Lord
“The wise man should not live for his wisdom,
The physically apt man should not live for his abilities,
The rich man should not live for wealth,
But let him who lives boast in this,
That he understands and intimately knows Me,
That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness,
judgment, and righteousness in the earth.
For in these I delight,” says the Lord.

What are you living for?

How does Jesus invite me to experience Him?

Jesus called out to Peter and Andrew, “Come follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” And they left their nets at once and followed Him. Mathew 4:19-20
JeremiahWOLBI 9 Mar, 2011 @ 6:57am
The invitation and promise of Jesus are clear, but they remain only opportunities until you take Jesus up on his invitation. If Peter and Andrew had merely listened to Jesus and then said, “That’s a very interesting invitation; maybe we can talk about it again after fishing season,” they would not have become Jesus’ disciples. Jesus invitation requires a decision: to follow Him or to remain where you are. Acceptance of His invitation leads to action—the disciples left their nets and the life they knew and followed Jesus. God is constantly extending invitations to you to experience life with him. Does your RSVP say “Accepted with gratitude!”?

God will do this, for He is faithful to do what He says, and He has invited you into partnership with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:9

Ps 18:2-3
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
my God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised:
so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Psalm 18:46
The LORD liveth;
and blessed be my rock;
and let the God of my salvation be exalted.

Exodus 34:6-8
And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

I borrowed the reference below about the conscience being proof of God from Jeremiah. Thanks, Jeremiah, for the great points you've been bringing to the table!

When those, who are not Jews, who do not have the law, by nature do the things contained in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them. Romans 2:14-15 The conscience, Proof of God.

Speaking on behalf of White Lion, this group does not support the prosperity Gospel aka. name it, claim it. We believe that God wants His people to be generous to Him and to those in need, but God does not promise any financial or earthly reimbursement for generosity. But, He does say that if you follow His commandments, that He will spiritually bless you. Therefore, we should not expect any earthly rewards based on our works, such as money, fame, or possessions. We should, however, expect spiritual rewards, such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, self-control, gentleness, and faithfullness.

Revelation 19:11-16
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified
in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the
Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into
glory.
