TeamSpeak Service Users,

We have finally received a response from TeamSpeak Systens GmbH / TeamSpeak Systems, Inc. about our policy change to our NPL License which if you remember was going to substantially affect your servers.

Our license has been extended to August 25, 2015

Officially, after the day listed above, all TeamSpeak servers associated with RGServers will be shut down due to the new policy.

Since the policy has changed, we have looked at becoming an ATHP (Authorized TeamSpeak Hosting Provider) License holder but with this comes a price and we will unfortunately not be able to host for free anymore. Although we already hold this license, we are going through the review period with TeamSpeak.

RGSERVERS SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

To TeamSpeak Service Users,
It has been brought to my attention that with the latest update of TeamSpeak, TeamSpeak Systems GmbH / TeamSpeak Systems, Inc. has issued a policy change to their NPL licensee holders.

The new policy change is stated below:
NPL licensees who obtained their license prior to this policy change will be granted one renewal and the license will be valid for 6 months. This should give you enough time to make any necessary changes to your server. All NPL renewals after December 6, 2014 will be issued a 2 server/512 slot license.

So effective immediately either:
Wednesday, February 25 @ 00:00:00 2015 or Tuesday, August 25 @ 00:00:00 2015

All servers associated with RGServers will be shut down due to the new policy, we are assuming that our license ends February 25th and we are truly saddened by this decision. Over the course of 4 years we have had over 6,000 unique players join the different servers we have set up for communities and have accumulated over 7,000 GB worth of voice data bandwidth.

The main RGServers TeamSpeak located @ ts.rgservers.com:9987 will remain online throughout the years, TeamSpeak's policy change allows us to keep this server online and will have 512 slots.

All TeamSpeak servers are being updated to the latest version.

This is a major version upgrade and it will take some time as TeamSpeak has changed the way some things work internally. We will need to double check these and make sure everything is in working order.

Update: Everything seems to be working properly, please contact me if there is something seriously wrong with your server.

Permissions gone
Missing Server Groups
People removed from server groups

Things of serious nature that literally break your teamspeak.

On January 4th, we will be having our "annual" user purge. We will do this during non peak hours to ensure limited conflict.

The reason we do this is so that old user accounts people have had with admin permissions do not get hijacked by a rogue client.

Although this rarely happens, it has been reported on the Official TeamSpeak forums so we are taking this as a precaution and purging any user accounts older than 3months and we will also be removing any folders/files located within non-payment VoIP Servers.

Our services in the Dallas, TX location are now back onine. We are still working out minor problems within the server so don't be alarmed if our services drop for a few moments although they shouldn't.

After a recent update/upgrade, our system went offline the system drive never remounted itself. We have since then fixed this and restarted the services back to an operational state.

We'll keep you posted.
