I'm currently changing ISP right now, which obviously means that I will not have internet for a few hours at least. Expect everything to be back online in 9hrs at most.

My ISP is experiencing many outages in my area. The network was shut down for about 2 hours, but a backup solution was found by the¨m about an hour ago to keep the network active. All of this ISP's traffic in my region has been re-routed to other cities, but the fact that the failure is so severe causes congestion in cities with active switches, and forces the network signal to follow a very inefficient route.

Expect high response time (about 150 ms) and delayed trades for the next 1 to 5 hours.



Hello everyone, small update on the incident:
It seems that yesterday afternoon, a borehole in the largest city in the region (Lille) broke a few optical fibres belonging to several ISPs.

Since Lille is a "central point" for almost the entire network in my region, this is what would have caused yesterday's failure and the disabling of all local DSLAMs.
I have obtained confirmation that my ISP's network is currently being re-routed to Strasbourg via a "back-up link", which greatly limits its performance, as described above.

This back-up link was designed to support limited Internet traffic, which is why its performance is catastrophic in the evening during peak hours. During off-peak hours, I notice a minimum ping of about 80ms and average speeds, although it should be noted that it is enough to restart some of my activities on my servers - including the bot.

We expect the network to be restored later today, although at this time there is nothing sure yet. Expect latency problems in about 5 hours if the main link is not repaired.
