The Battle of Venice will take place tomorrow instead of today. See you tomorrow!

After the French conquest of the Papal States, the Austrian Emperor ordered his Army to launch a counter-attack in Italy.

Battle of Venice this Saturday at 9pm CET!

The war is gaining traction. The Coalition won’t remain idle and simply watch Napoleon’s conquests. The Prussian army has moved into West Germany to attack the Rhein Confederacy. The Battle of Westphalia is scheduled for tomorrow at 9 PM CET!

To mitigate lag, we have decided to move away from the Flag Spawn script. Events will now be played in the standard Battle mode. This change also means we will play until 4 wins instead of 3 due to shorter rounds.

The first round of tomorrow’s event will be an Assassination RP. Rheinbund’s general must survive attacks from partisans for a few minutes or escape. Rhein will be outnumbered, so not every French player will be able to join their side. If you don’t want to fight against your team, feel free to sit out as a spectator (or you can fight for the opposite team. Special RPs matter much less for the Campaign than battles or sieges)

It has been a decade since the armies of an emerging France, cradled in revolutionary fervor, first waged war against the crowned heads of Europe. The great and mighty Austria was the first to be humbled, followed by the once-feared and respected armies of Prussia. Russia's vast forces were swept from the field, Britain's spectacular navy driven away from Toulon.

Triumphant, France has since crowned her savior, Napoleon Bonaparte. The "Monster of Corsica," as he is called, gazes upon the vast pastures of Europe once more. To many, it is clear: the uneasy peace is not to last.

Their lips are adorned with but one phrase:

"Cry 'Havoc!' and let slip the dogs of war."

Grande Armée is currently marching on Rome while the Austrian garrison is preparing to defend the outskirts and the Eternal City itself.
Napoleon has also ordered his cavalry to disrupt the enemy supply chain. This will not be an easy task as the Austrians are sending their own horsemen to prevent that from happening.

The first event of the Napoleonic Wars Campaign - Battle of Rome - begins on January 11th at 8pm GMT / 9pm CET, on NW_Public_Events server. It will start with a round of Cav v Cav and the rest of the event will be a Flag Spawn battle.

The next day a siege of Rome will be played on Minisiege

NWRP was created in 2013 by Erwin Rommel. 2024 marked the 10th anniversary of the 59th takeover, a milestone that established the server as one of the most popular in NW. Other significant dates include 2019, when the Jailbreak community joined us, and 2020, when NARC was founded.

To celebrate 12 years of the Community, we’re excited to host the **NWRP Awards**, where everyone can vote in 16 categories. A committee consisting of veterans, admins, JB, NARC and NRP players selected up to 6 nominees for each category. The categories include: Favourite Campaign Faction, Best Meleer, Best Map, Best Roleplay, and many more.

Voting is open in our Discord , where you can pick as many nominees as you like. Winners will be announced on **January 8th**.
