Now there's a ton of things that I wanted to do for the scout movie that couldn't be done because I simply couldn't get custom scout models to work the way I wanted them to work.

A lot of these scenes hinged on custom faceposing AND custom animations, but getting that to work is kind of hard when the compiler spits out a model with a face as stiff as stone and no eyes.

But instead of scrapping the project altogether, I'll just use the footage that was recorded back then in similar movie. Think poking fun at not one update, but all of them.

And as a closing statement, I want something done Sunday. More on this later.

While I have processed the footage that's been recorded a while ago, and do want to schedule one or two more recording sessions, I can't say that I've had success in preparing material for the other scenes.

Don't panic, this most likely doesn't mean that it will get cancelled, it's just that Valve really hasn't made it easy for people to edit stock tf2 models and animations. Heck, there isn't even any method of actually extracting an animation from a .mdl file on the internet. To put it short: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I really do want to push this out before the mentioned sniper update comes, but since I've planned on using custom animations for the scout update spoof, I need to find a way to get custom models and animations working in TF2. The confusing part is that valve probably changed something in the models, as my first try at hacking a model worked fine, but the same method yields only errors and anomalies such as a creepy eye-less scout.

Alright, not really, I wanted to give an update on what's happening to the footage that was recorded a while ago. I am using it, and right now I'm doing the things that go inbetween those scenes - alone.

There will be another recording session probably within 2 weeks, but don't quote me on that.
