You can join it at 80.100.140.205:27016 , your rank will be the same as on the dm_duel_mgc server.


A couple of more things are installed on that server which are "themes" and if it isn't filled with people it will fill itself with bots.

If you don't like reading. Here is a short list of things I want to mention

So I've re-enabled replay on the dm_duel_mgc server. Use it when you can and upload your videos to YouTube. I might make a collection of the best videos if we can get enough videos. (And maybe I'll make a competition where you can win a couple of games ;) ). If you put them on YouTube feel free to post them in the comment section as well!

Yes, I knew about the admin abuse problem and I hope with this measurement it will be gone for good. I'm going to setup a structure where it won't be possible to admin abuse anymore.


Like I've mentioned before in other posts, I'm still working on the website but because I have school, work, etc I can't put all my time in it. I hope I can release the website at the end of February though. It might have some basic functionality but I will add more and more later on. Maybe I'll make some polls to see what features should be added. (Both on the server as on the website)

It's been a while since I've posted an update about anything in the MG-C group and that's because I'm quite busy with school and work and such.
Nevertheless, I'm still working on a couple of things right now and some of them will be released very soon.

Incase you don't like reading, here is a small list to show all the changes that will come.

The TL;DR; list

New Location

This might be the most dramatic change that is comming. The location of both the website and the TF2 server will be moved to another dedicated server, it's an homehosted server. Now you might think "Booo! Homehosted sucks!". Well I've been working on this for quite a while and I think it's running properly now
The machine that will host the new stuff is a virtual machine with 4GB ram and a triple-core CPU. Incase I run out of ram I can increase it to 12GB max. The move will finish around the end of August. The new server is already up and the old one will close begin September.

New designed website
My current project after moving the server is working on a new websites that is both user friendly and attracts people to use the website more often. I will post more frequent updates about the server and might add a status indicator to see which server(s) are up and running. There could be a chance that there will be a twitter account with the current status of the server(s) but that will be on a later moment. Any input on what you would like to see on the websites would be greatly appreciated.

Changed Server Rules
I've been considering to change some of the rules to be easier to understand for some players. Some of the rules became obsolete with the dm_duel_mgc map but I've never had the chance to change them properly.

No spawnkilling
This rule might be remove or changed to a different description. Or I might release a small update on the dm_duel_mgc map so you can't spawn kill that easy anymore.

No doorsticky
Annoying as ♥♥♥♥, I'm gonna keep this in place. Remember, if the door is OPEN doorsticky is allowed. When it is closed again you can't place a trap there

No cabinet spam
I might change the cabinet locations (again) to prevent annoying spams. I really dislike the fact people are spamming their way through to win the game. This rule stays

No hacking
Everyone dislikes hacking don't they? If there is an admin around they usually troll with hackers so they won't come back again.

No lagging
This rule will be removed, this is because I will let another addon handle this stuff for me, It will kick people if their ping is too high or they start lagging.

Stay friendly towards people
This rule should be applied more on the servers since I've noticed a change in people acting like supreme ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Keep your micspam limited
Micspam doesn't happen as often as it used to be, though I still think it should be there.

Understand english
I really dislike the fact that some people don't understand a single word of english and just start swearing things to stop being an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Rule stays and will be applied more.
Though the description might be extended to "basic english", since not everyone understands english completly

And the 3 strikes you are out only counts for minor rule breaking. Hacking will get you instantly banned on IP and SteamId

New Designed Website
I'm currently working on a new designed website and this might take longer than expected. I'm not really a designer so I'm trying to get bits and pieces from everywhere.
I'm also working on a new ranking system to see more stats about your playtime, score, kill/death ratio and everything per class. I might add some other cool stuff in the future but this takes quite a bit of effort already.

New Admin policy
I know some of the admins abuse their powers, and yes, in somecases I find it funny. With that said, I'm changing some of the admin powers to be more limiting. Though in some cases I will allow admin abuse since some people are complete morons and making fun of might be better otherwise they never learn.
Nevertheless, I will add an admin policy, if I receive too much comments about a certain admin I will have a chat. Once I add the admin policy there will be a comment / contact box to fill in on the website with the things that happen and preferable includes a .dem file with the proof.

New donator policy
I will setup a new policy on how to donate and get certain extra stuff in the server. This is still being worked out.

New dm_duel_mgc map
It has been over a year since I released dm_duel_mgc and some people notified me that there were people trying to copy it on their servers. I never would've guessed that people stil like to play on the MG-C server with this map still on. Anyways I'll start working on the next map after the server location changed but it requires some proper feedback from the community. So I'm asking for some serious testers that really want to improve the gameplay and looks on the map. I will not add extra's to add unfair advantages. I will add some easter eggs on the final version.

Hey all,

Our current server provider decided to change our IP without telling us. Which is another great reason to stop our hosting there and move it to another provider (which I'm currently working on).
