LS-RP is a roleplay server for the game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. You'll need the mutiplayer mod for San Andreas, SAMP to play. Before you get started, you must make an application on the forums to get whitelisted.

The application is easy if you have a general idea of how to write applications. It's a bit like writing an essay; You must first write a character back story, starting with name, age, place of birth, then moving on into the story. You could write a general story about how your character came to the position he is in now, then start your role-play story in the server, or you could add depth to your story, and role-play your character differently because of his actions in your story. After the character story is finished, you must let the staff know you understand the rules.

Read through the rules carefully, make sure you understand what the rules are, then proceed to write the second part of the application. You will need to log into the server using your character's name, and in-game password to verify your account. Make sure you have GTA:SA and SAMP installed before you post your application.

Soon after posting your application(Normally within a few hours) you will be either accepted or denied from joining the server. If you are denied, they will provide you with the reason for declining your application, you may go back, and fix what was wrong with the first, then post it again.
