As some may know, and have read on this page, I like to play realism mode with small variations to the game. These variations may be something as simple as playing with a particular weapon, but sometimes it can add difficulty in certain situations.

What are all the challenges I've made so far? Well, that's what this post is for. The following will list off their titles and give short explanations to them. Think of them as mutations, only some may actually be fun.

Shotgun Jockey - Complete a realism game with only a shotgun and a melee weapon.
Pitch Black - Who turned off the lights? Play realism with no flashlight on.
Ammo Shortage - Complete a game only refilling your ammunition at safe houses or a finale.
Sans Secondary - Play without the use of pistols or melee.
Primary Prohibiton - The opposite: Play with secondary weapons only.
In Rehab - No pills or adrenaline.
'Til Death - No defibrilators.
Classic Choice - Original L4D weapons and pistols.
Bullets and Bats - Play without pipe bombs, molotovs, or bile.
Stonewall - No shoving. You heard me.
Ghetto Gunman - SMG and Pistols only
Hardcore - Please read "Realism with a twist" for details, as it is better explained in more than one sentence.

This list will continue to grow in time should I continue to think of ways to alter the playstyle. The beauty of these "alterations" is that they are purely optional and can also be combined for an extra challenge. Teammates may also mix and match their own in the same game. The exception to this amount of free choice is hardcore. Should you play hardcore, all players must abide by the rules.
