Hello Gamers!

HGC is looking to organise a LAN event over these school holidays and we are interested in seeing who would be keen to go to this event. ROUGH details are as follows:

Location: Jesmond Neighbourhood Centre - http://goo.gl/maps/IEEng
Price: $25
Time: 5pm to 8am
Date: Either Friday 5th of July (05/07/2013) or Friday 12th July (13/07/2013)

Events:
We will be aiming to bring the gaming servers so there shall be local games of COD4, BF2 and BF3, TF2, RO2, CSS/CS:GO, DayZ, Neverwinter Nights, and Minecraft. There will be Gigabit LAN connection for each PC so local games and such will be available as well. Internet connection will be available for online only games such as LoL and DOTA1/2, however please no downloading or excessive streaming.

Tables will also be set up for a custom D&D dungeon crawl that I will be personally hosting (please send me a message if you are interested, limited spots are available) as will tables for Magic and Warhammer.

There will also be 2 widescreen TVs set up for some console wargamming.

Included Extras:
Breakfast and Dinner will be provided (2 Sausage Sandwiches for dinner, and 2 Bacon and Eggs sandwiches for breakfast)
HGC Showbag (2 cans of Soft Drink, Bottle of water, lolly bag, and a packet of chips)
Allocated seating (tables and chairs provided)
Powerboards with 2 ports per person (Monitor and Tower)

What you will need to bring:
Ethernet Cable (Cat5 or better to connect to the network)
Computer and peripherals (Keyboard and Mouse, Monitor, Tower, and POWER CORD)


Additional drinks and lolly bags will be on sale ($1 for a can of drink, 50c per lolly bag) as well as additional BBQ food ($2 for a sausage sandwich, $2 for bacon and egg sandwich, $3 for a steak sandwich). If you have any dietary requirements, please get in touch so that we can assist you with alternatives. Jesmond shopping centre is also right next door so there are other options if required.

If anyone who is interested please like this post so that we can get a rough idea of interest, as well as any comments or questions about the LAN to be made on this post. Signups for the actual event will be mandatory, with approximately 50 seats being available.

In regards to the price, it is purely based on cost of the venue ($600 for the night, as well as a $325 bond) and the cost of food.
