Patch notes for release build follow.

NOTE: We are aware of the grenade collision issue where if you throw quickly the arm hits the body and the grenade does not go where the arch was. This was introduced with the new throw animation and the devs will work on it for the next patch. The devs are also working on a solution for bomb location when dropped beyond the current blinking light, expect to hear about or see improvements soon.

Following is all new content:

• Adjustments to key assignments to allow for scroll through action keys (Hold F and use Q or E to scroll).
  
• Changes to published settings to prevent texture glitch.
  
• Added HQ dialogue ques for demolition mode (first pass, more to follow)
  
• Action key for bomb plant now prevents player from locking up the plant. You must finish the current action before the key will register again.
  
• Fall damage is now active and set appropriately. Small jumps do not do major damage. Height jumps do.
  
• WolfRun improvement to player path flow, new grain storage building collision and visuals as collision tag off, graffiti on side of building and some shelving and replaced grain bags to the correct one's on top
  
• Level design--finishing touches on both levels - garlic placed in doorways of sismis and a few in Wolfy, lots of stuff added to the enemy base to clutter it up, shelves and tools and junk added to the grain elevator, painting for a few building to improve the look, some more terrain shape changes
  
• Added new run back right (45 degree angle) animation
  
• Minor tweaking to some weapons fire

Hello H-Hour community!

This is a very exciting and important week for the studio. As most of you know, tomorrow (Tuesday, May 19, 2015) is our launch date on Steam. That means that tomorrow our game will launch via Early Access and the general public will be able to purchase, download and play this early build of our game. This is the first opportunity that the general public has had to see and play the game. Steam Early Access is a major milestone for H-Hour: World's Elite and we are very happy to have made it here with the help of all of you.

This morning we sent out the early access keys to all community members who donated during one of our early campaigns (i.e. Kickstarter or Bake Sale) at a tier that included "a digital copy of the game on PC." Everyone in this group who had not selected a platform was sent an email this past month to do so. So if you selected PC, you should have received your key this morning. If you believe you are in this group but cannot find your email, please check all your email accounts (i.e. the email address associated with your donation via PayPal) as well as your junk or spam folder. If you are certain you should have received a key and you did not, please email us at office@sofstudios.com and we will help.

(Please note that we are no longer accepting switches from PS4 to PC for game platform. If you selected PS4 for your platform, you were automatically marked down for that platform and will receive your key when we launch on console. Thanks!)

If you redeem your key today, Steam will accept it but give you a message that the game is not yet released. Tomorrow on launch, your game will become active so you can join in the fun. We just wanted to make sure the keys went out early, giving you all the chance to receive them.

In other housekeeping news, we had two contests on the website wrap up this past week. Today we announce the winners of the Beta Screenshot contest. This contest we broken down categorically.

Last week we also unveiled the winners for our secret third beta competition. We kept track of the number of qualified bug reports submitted by beta team members. We were looking for the beta members who submitted the greatest quantity and quality of bug reports throughout the beta period. We wanted to honor our Bug Reporting superstars, whose efforts will go a long way towards helping to create a better game for everyone. We didn't want potential prizes to be any sort of a factor and thus the secrecy of the contest.

In third place, with 11 qualified bug reports, was iSpeZz. He will be receiving an H-Hour T-shirt. Great job!

In second place, with 18 qualified bug reports, is EagleF15. He will be receiving an H-Hour T-shirt, hat and patches. Great bug squashing!

And coming in first with a total of 24 qualified bug reports is BadContrakt! For his first place finish, BadContrakt will be receiving a GAEMS Vanguard Personal Gaming Environment.

In terms of development of the game, the devs put up a major update on Friday which added a number of new things to the game, including:

• This patch delivers a fully functioning demolition mode, significant changes to maps to address community concerns as well as the new game mode, polish, optimizations to graphics and networking for both client and server side and a large number of bug closures.

• Added doors to terrorist camp on WolfRun and built out interior of building to use for demo
  
• New building added to WolfRun across from center building to house initial bomb location.
  
• Moved terrorist camp on WolfRun, a lot of terrain sculpting, tree moving, terrain painting, audio moving and power line re-routing to improve game flow, light changes to reduce fog glare
  
• Changes to Sismis to counteract the spawn to spawn line of sight issue, new routes, modified road, wider building near enemy spawn, better lighting, many more distant trees and mountains
  
• Adjusted mip distance on objects to prevent blurriness

Evening everyone, sorry for keeping you all waiting! We just finished our dev testing and build is a go. You now have Sismis for Elimination mode and WolfRun for Demolition. You will be amazed at the map improvements in both.

One known issue but we want to get this in your hands and do not consider it a showstopper for today--health is not working, e.g., jumping off roofs will not kill you. Please do not file a bug report, already known!

"Today we announce the winners of the video contest we held for beta participants. We asked members of the beta team to post two-minute videos showcasing the game and their superior skills. We had a ton of great entries and everyone who voted expressed how the quality of the videos made it difficult to pick the top three. Thank you to everyone who entered!

The moderators and the development team cast their votes and here are the final results:

• In third place, we have SeriouslyMan for a well-edited and scored video. He will be receiving two H-Hour patches and two H-Hour stickers.
  
• In second place, it is BadContrakt for a video showcasing scoreboards, kill-feeds and great marksmanship. He will be receiving an H-Hour t-shirt and stickers.
  
• And in first place (and appearing the most on the voter’s lists) is MoJoeGaming for a video that had good action, fun humor and a flying terrorist. Congratulations MoJoe! He will be receiving an H-Hour shirt, an H-Hour hat, patches and stickers.

There will be one more content patch this week (which will be the content the developers worked on over the past week). The team wants to try to release patches weekly by mid-week which gives them time over the weekends to work on things. The development team’s focus since the last patch has been on many of the new things implemented over the last few weeks, namely the demolition game mode and the improved UI and menus. We are expecting to have the basic framework for demolition done and in the community’s hands so we can get feedback prior to early access. Any other updates until at least early June will be mostly comprised of bug fixes, additional animations and other house-keeping fixes.

As mentioned on our milestone document, this week the development team enters what is called a feature freeze. That means that they won't be adding any new features prior to the early access launch on May 19th. Polishing and fixing the bugs so many of you have taken the time to report for us will improve what is already in H-Hour and ensure we have a game that functions very, very well for our early access players. This freeze will likely continue for the first few weeks of early access to allow the developers to work on the increased bug reports we expect to receive when we have a broader audience. Once we are solidly into early access, the team can begin to work on new features again.

As the last week before early access launch, this is an important week for the studio and a lot of administrative and business stuff is going on behind the scenes. So many different things need to come together for a successful launch. The support team has been working on crafting H-Hour's homepage on Steam and meeting all the requirements to release the game. We have also been organizing our lists of the many community members who will be receiving their Steam keys for the early access game on the 18th (the day prior to early access launch). This includes many folks who donated during Kickstarter or the Bake Sale for a digital copy of the PC game. If you are in that group, you will be receiving access keys via your email in much the same way that we sent out beta keys. More information next Monday on this.
