We've upgraded to the newest version of Sourcebans. You can access the new site here:

We've re-added all moderators and now in the process of re-adding all Zombie Donators. If you were a Zombie Donator+ previously, then you will re-gain your status over the next 24 hours. have uploaded all current lifetime or temp Zombies. (see the note in comments below regarding zombie upload completion from haeclark)

We're using the newest versions of Sourcebans and have updated versions of Sourcemod and Metamod. If you notice anything strange or detect a mis-configuration, please let us know.

We're also considering some minor game/mod configuration changes and discussing adding new mods/plugins to make gameplay even better. If you have any suggestions, please post them in the Requests sub.

Hey there Zombies and GrimFortress members!
Since there has been an ownership and management change here at GrimFortress as of yesterday, Aug 22nd, I'd like to take the time to make this announcement to touch down on what we're about, what we hope to achieve, our ultimate goals for the community and to not only let everyone know what our plans for the future are, but to also to preemptively answer any questions you may have about the transition.

First, I want to give special thanks to Trancypoo for running such a great community and helping make this transition as seamless as possible. He really cares about all of us here and chose the next owners carefully to ensure that GF members are in good hands.

Second, some staff and members have already signed off after expressing their intent to quit or pursue other interests. The staff at GF have always been amazing, and it’s really sad to hear that some admins/mods won’t be making the journey with us.
For those staff that will continue on with GF, thank you for continuing to stay on! Any suggestions, thoughts, ideas, concerns, or problems you have are welcome. Please feel free to contact myself, golgotha, or Bad Thomas anytime. I (haeclark) personally am available majority of the time as I'm a stay at home parent. If I'm away when I receive the message, I'll review and respond as soon as I can.
The recent departure of staff also means that we have a few openings for mods/admins. If you’re interested, let myself, golgotha or Bad Thomas know and you’ll be considered.

For you regulars that are skeptical about the management change, don’t worry; we are not planning to upset the current game balance. We don't want to rule with an iron fist, nor make any dramatic or drastic changes. In fact, you might notice that there have been no changes at all.
While we are thinking about making some minor changes, we plan to move slowly and will be collecting your feedback prior to rule or gameplay changes. We're all about having a good time, and look forward to more good times. This community is all of you, after all! For those with Zombie status, you will keep your status.

As regular players ourselves who enjoyed playing on GrimFortress and interacting with the established community, there are many regulars we enjoy playing with and hope to keep around, as well as to expand our community even more. Some of you know and game with us already, while many of you don't really know who we are or even only briefly acquainted with us through 2Fort.
Most of us have been around since ScreamFortress, and all of us enjoy being a part of Grim. We welcome people to get to know us better, and encourage anyone to come to us with any thoughts, ideas, concerns, problems, or even just to have a nice chat!

Any issues will be viewed objectively.

While any rule changes are only being considered, we prefer to take a simple approach:
No hacking, no racist remarks and no harassment (excessive spawncamping is harassment). There’s nothing mysterious here; if you’re breaking these rules, then you’re purposefully doing it.

Last, I want all of you to understand our vision for the future of GF. I'm all about building communities, close ties, friendships even, and the same applies to golgotha, Bad Thomas, and KidKrash.
There is a lot of great people that left recently because the gameplay dynamic on grim tf2 changed from "fun" to "sad" to "aggravated." There will be no more drama and no more granular, heavy-handed rules to follow. We also won’t take sides or give preferential treatment.

Ultimately, we want to see Grim stay as enjoyable as possible and as fair as possible, but also and most importantly a fun and nice place to play in. We want to see the community thrive, and have fun, not be brought down by non-regulars or anything that's not enjoyable.
