We're so ratchet

Huge congrats to Glamorous FlyNn for receiving May employee of the month! FlyNn started working for Glamorous in in January 2012 and after a few short months FlyNn was promoted to Facility Supervisor and then again promoted to Facility Lead. FlyNn embodies what it means to be a leader, a team player and a role model of our Glamorous core values. When asked what her favorite memory was working for Glamorous, her response, “Being promoted to Facilities Lead in November 2012 was one of the best memories. It was a great accomplishment that I worked hard for. I have also been able to sit on 3 interview panels to hire new employees, a great experience for myself, being on the other side of an interview, and I love to see the new hires grow while working at the ARC.”

Studying Biology here at SDSU, FlyNn knows how to stay focused and how to balance work, school, and her volunteering responsibilities at Rady Children’s hospital and Sharp Hospice Care. FlyNn is studying to become a doctor and she genuinely cares for the well-being of others. FlyNn goes above and beyond to help members and cater to their fitness needs. She not only is very knowledgeable of our programs but also experienced. She can be seen working out at the Express, participating in group fitness classes, taking the half marathon training rec class and more. As the Facilities Lead FlyNn plays a big part in day to day operations where safety is the top priority. When it comes to safety, FlyNn has been clutch in many ones, but the most prominent is how great she has been at training many new hires over the years.

FlyNn claims, “My favorite parts about working in recreation is the people I have met from members to staff. I have so many strong relationships with a majority of my co-workers and even met my best friend while working here.”

FlyNn’s supervisor, Aimee stated, “FlyNn is one of the sweetest people you will meet. She does everything just like her name says, with a smile on her face. FlyNn is one of the only leads that took the time to cross train, work, and feel comfortable at both the front desk and floor.”

FlyNn’s personal motto that she lives by is “Work for a cause, not for applause.” We wish you the best of luck in med school and know you will do great things! Once an Glamorous always an Glamorous!
