So I've read that if we don't do a Highlander practice match soon, we'll lose points. I've talked with a few members (since the majority seems to be more offline than online) and I've decided to put out a challenge. The time and date will be this coming Sunday (22 August) at 1 PM UK time, so make sure you're online at that time.

Here's the primary lineup so that people will know if they should play and as which class in case you've forgotten.

Andy - Pyro (secondary: Heavy)
Blake - Sniper (secondary: Scout/Medic)
Darkgun - Demo (secondary: Scout)
Kev - Medic (secondary: Engineer/Sniper)
Joe - Heavy (secondary: Demo/Sniper)
SF - Spy (secondary: Pyro/Demo)
Strata - Soldier (secondary: Pyro/Medic)
Urth - Scout (secondary: Soldier/Heavy)

So make sure you're there.

UPDATE: Jim can't make it Sunday afternoon, so I'll ask our backup Engi if he's available. If not, we'll have to shuffle some roles around.

Okay, the ETF2L finally announced the Highlander tournament, and set a few dates as to when the tournament starts. I'd like you all to take a moment and see if everything's in order.

The current dates are (straight from the ETF2L post):
Final divisions announced: Sunday 29th of August
Schedule deadline for week 1 matches: Sunday the 5th of September
Week 1 start: Sunday the 12th of September

Yez and vger: I still have no confirmation that you two signed up at ETF2L, so if you haven't, please do so while there's still some time. http://etf2l.org/

Jim: You're our primary Engineer, but you don't have the unlockables yet. If you want to, we'll help you farm some achievements to get them and level the playing field.

Also, as you know, our server is only 10 slots and since Highlander is 9v9, it requires 18 slots at least, so we have to talk to the other team if they have a suitable server. In the event they don't have one either, one can be borrowed from the ETF2L itself, but will have to be reserved ahead of time.

As you already know, we're going to enter the ETF2L Highlander Community Challange. Right now, I got us a buddy for our group and we have 1 more slot open before we reach the maximum of 14 players.

So, this is your absolute last chance of getting in the competition with us. You have until the registration officially starts, the date of which is unknown, but is in approximately 3 weeks. Contact me or Blake if you want in.

Two new plugins have been added to the serever. First is a Bullet Time plugin; upon successful melee kills, critical kills or taunt kills, time slows down for a moment to dramatize this event. Upon first joining the server from this point forward, a few textures and souds will be downloaded in order to work.

Second is a kill-streak counter which tracks everyone's kill streaks and stores them for up to 15 days (this is only the default, tell me if you want to store it longer).

And if that's not enough, a few extra maps have been added to the rotation.
